Recently, rapper Lil Wayne allegedly dropped a diss track against fellow rapper Kendrick, which went viral. However, it is reportedly not real but AI-generated, according to HotNewHipHop. The track garnered a lot of responses from puzzled fans who couldn't decide whether the New Orleans rapper's voice was real or was it artificial intelligence.

X user @ToPimpAMorale first posted the video of the same on X on December 16, 2024, and claimed:

“Apparently this is the “Kendrick Lamar diss track” from Lil Wayne that Hitta J3 is talking about.”

The clip was apparently uploaded to TikTok at first by user Taylor Gang Vibes. Moreover, the entire reported feud started after Lamar was selected to perform during the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show over Lil Wayne.

In response, Wayne posted a video on Instagram in September 2024 lamenting about the Super Bowl halftime show decision. Meanwhile, the X user who uploaded the post in the first place reshared it on the platform on December 16, 2024, and wrote the caption:

“This is fake btw, there’s no real Kendrick diss that Hitta J3 is talking about."

Many netizens also believed that the track was AI. One even said that they still loved Wayne's voice, even though it's not real. Another user claimed that the artificial intelligence got Wayne's 2013 voice.

“Even though it's ai, I love Wayne's voice more on the beat than Kendrick,” one claimed.
“Lmao if this ain’t ai Wayne loses all respect,” one joked.
“lol the AI got 2013 Wayne voice,” joked another one.

However, not everyone believed it was AI-generated. Some genuinely replied to the post and commented as if the track was real. One said that if it's real, Wayne will be destroyed. Another one remarked that Wayne's going to keep dropping stuff like this. Someone else even criticized the track, believing it was real.

“If they keep talking Wayne gonna drop something just to piss them off he done said he not tryna do all that leave him alone,” one wrote, defending Wayne.
"If this is legit, Lil Wayne about to get destroyed,” another one wrote in confusion.
“Wheezy need to apologize right now because if this what he opening with I genuinely feel sorry for him if Kendrick Lamar responds,” another one even criticised.

No, Lil Wayne's alleged Kendrick diss track is not real

The alleged diss track from Lil Wayne, which is reportedly AI-generated, is not the only fake one on the internet. Rapper Hitta J3 has called attention to one similar artificial track circulating online on X, as per HotNewHipHop.

In the X clip, the alleged Lil Wayne's voice could be heard rapping about Kendrick Lamar:

“They can't be wheezed.. Hall of fame made this sh*t too easy, I was born a trap star just like jeezy. I made a whole wave, it got me seasick, gnarly.. The game is cold, you ni*gas best listen to barbie… These ni*gas is weird... Now who told the ni*gas they can come and kill the part.."

Lil Wayne's alleged AI voice continued:

“TDE’s stands for t**ns dating elders b*tch sorry. Excited you got picked for the IUS for a headline.. Everybody knows a Kendrick song is for bedtime, everybody knows I’m out for blood. I call it red wine.. That's a fact…"

The reported diss then concluded:

“Academics known I am in the ring, I threw my hats and f*cked a schoolboy. Q me when you got access.. Kung Fu can do it like nah weezy F baby and the F is for the FA…. Kendrick you a b*tch ni*ga.. Like why you hit your b*tch ni*ga.. My finger got an itch ni*ga..”

The alleged AI-generated track came following the announcement on September 8, 2024, that Kendrick Lamar would be the featured performer at the future Super Bowl halftime show on February 9, 2025. However, shortly after this, Wayne shared his shock and disappointment with the news in a September 13, 2024, Instagram video. During the same, he further stated that it had hurt him a lot as he had been really hoping to perform.

On the other hand, neither Lil Wayne nor Lamar has said anything about the whole track.
