Netizens have reacted to pop icon Justin Bieber sharing a clip on his Instagram Stories on January 15, potentially teasing his new music. The short clip featuring his wife heightened speculation of a potential comeback for Bieber after a four-year hiatus.
The short video on his Instagram Story showed the Baby singer riding a car alongside his wife Hailey Bieber through a snowy region, with Bieber's speculated new music playing in the background. Meanwhile, the 30-year-old didn't provide any explanation, however, he captioned the clip with emojis of a video camera and a hand holding a pen.
Netizens were quick to react to Justin Bieber's Instagram Story under @PopCrave's post on X about the same. One fan even suggested that his new work might potentially "save" pop.
"Is he the one to save pop music," wrote the fan.
"Exciting times for Beliebers! Wonder what vibe Justin Bieber is bringing this time," commented another.
"Could it be new music, a collaboration, or something completely unexpected?" one user chimed in.
One fan opined that Bieber should drop an entire album after a four-year-long hiatus.
"After making us wait 4 years for new music, he better be dropping an entire album and not just another feature," commented the fan.
"Cant wait! It's been too long since he released new music!" added another.
"What is this? Lol sounds bad. If the whole thing is like this then Justin can keep this in the vault," opined a user on X.
Some other reactions were as follows:
"This is the sound I hear when I experience sleep paralysis," a user wrote.
"You know what! That’s my man and I’m standing beside him," commented another.
"We just know its going to be a global smash hit," inferred a fan on X.
Bieber's last big release was his sixth studio album, Justice. Released by Def Jam Recordings on March 19, 2021, the album featured guest appearances from Khalid, Chance the Rapper, Dominic Fike, the Kid Laroi, Giveon, Burna Boy, Benny Blanco, Beam, and Daniel Caesar.
Justice debuted atop the US Billboard 200 and the Canadian Albums Chart. The record was also certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Justin Bieber recently unfollowed his longtime friend and former mentor Usher on Instagram
On Monday, January 13, fans noticed that Justin Bieber had unfollowed American singer Usher, along with a host of other celebrities. The list included his former manager Scooter Braun, ex-bodyguard Kenny Hamilton, and Ryan Good, who was the best man at his wedding.
For the unversed, Usher was one of the prime mentors of Justin Bieber during the early days of his career. On the other hand, the Baby hitmaker was first spotted by Scooter Braun through his YouTube channel when Bieber was just 13. Braun went on to manage Justin Bieber for the next fifteen years.
Meanwhile, Usher took Bieber under his wing and helped him secure a contract with Def Jam Recordings as a teenager. Justin Bieber and Usher reportedly remained close since then. The latter even collaborated on the song Somebody to Love on Bieber's debut studio album, My World 2.0.
Furthermore, Braun and Usher together started a music label called Raymond-Braun Media Group to specifically accelerate Justin Bieber's career.
Many fans have connected Bieber's unfollowing of Usher with the disgraced rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs. In September 2024, Diddy was arrested on charges of s*x trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in pr*stitution.
Since then, media and fans have dug up past interviews and other pieces of evidence to find out about the alleged celebrity victims of Diddy's s*x trafficking ring. The list also allegedly included Bieber and Usher.
As per a report by Mint, Usher met Diddy when the former was just 13. At that time, Usher had relocated to NYC to be a part of the "Puffy Flavor Camp," where he was mentored by the Bad Boy Records boss. Later on, Usher also introduced Bieber to Diddy. However, neither Usher nor Justin Bieber have said anything in connection to Sean "Diddy" Combs after his arrest.
Meanwhile, Bieber still follows Diddy on Instagram.
