Kim Kardashian debuted on the cover of Santa Baby, released on Monday, December 23, along with a music video that dropped on YouTube hours earlier.
The nearly five-minute video, filmed to look like a classic VHS homemade recording, features Kardashian in a shoulder-length blonde wig, a light blue cardigan, and beige slacks. It opens with her sliding down and crawling on the floor. As she crawls through the house, each room she passes through has different activities going on.
In one room, a man dressed like an elf is seen gulping down something from a bowl, sitting on the countertop, while another man lies on the floor fixing something. In another room, young boys in jerseys are throwing a rugby ball around, while a donkey stands next to a woman dressed like Mary.
Other characters include a man dressed as Jesus Christ with a thorned crown taking something out of the fridge, a woman trimming a scarcely-leaved Christmas tree, three men in white robes and sunglasses appearing to sing carols, and a girl in a bikini, seemingly swimming in a large aquarium.
@PopBase shared a short clip of the music video on X, which has since gone viral with over 300K views. Netizens are reacting to the video, which appears to be a departure from the traditional Christmas song videos. One user on X wrote:
"Is this a P Diddy Party?"
Some netizens pointed out that they didn't know Kim was involved in the music world.
"i did NOT know kim kardashian made music," commented an X user.
"Never thought Kim Kardashian would make me want to block Christmas music on my phone in December," wrote a second one.
"My ears are bleeding," replied a third user.
Meanwhile, others called the video "a weird fetish" and "an analog horror film."
"Thank you so much. My uncle couldn’t walk, but as soon as he heard this, he stood up just to turn it off," commented a fourth user.
"What kind of weird fetish is this?" posted a fifth one.
"If Santa's sleigh had a VIP section, Kim's 'Santa Baby' cover would be the soundtrack!" added a sixth one.
"This feels like an analog horror film" wrote a seventh one.
Santa Baby's music video is directed by Nadia Lee Cohen and Charlie Dennis, and produced by her brother-in-law, Travis Barker.
Kim Kardashian's Santa Baby video features Macaulay Culkin
Home Alone actor Macaulay Culkin makes a special appearance in Kim Kardashian's Santa Baby music video. Near the end of the video, a man dressed in a Santa suit is seen holding a camcorder, and as he moves it aside, he is revealed to be Culkin.
Per Just Jared, Kardashian recorded the track during a season 3 episode of her show, The Kardashians, which aired in 2023.
The music video was released four days after the 44-year-old shared pictures of SKIMS' latest winter collection on her Instagram. In the second of three uploaded pictures, Kardashian was missing an eyebrow, leading many fans to criticize her for excessive photoshopping.
In the third picture, the socialite was seen straddling a rug in a light pink tank top, underwear, and stockings. Per Mirror UK, the image resembled one of Beyoncé, sparking online speculation about Kardashian wanting to look more like the Single Ladies singer.
Kim Kardashian's Santa Baby has amassed over 10K views on YouTube within three hours of its release.
