Kirk Franklin gears up for the 2025 Grammy Awards as his album Father’s Day gets nominated

Kirk Franklin, best known for his gospel music recently received a nomination for the 2025 Grammy Awards, which are scheduled to take place on February 2, 2025, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Being nominated for the Best Gospel Album, Franklin is up against Melvin Crispell III, Ricky Dillard, Karen Clark, and CeCe Winans for the award.

Furthermore, it is worth noting that Franklin has already won 20 Grammys throughout the years. Previously, he spoke to Grammy about his first award, and why it has been extremely special for him. He said:

"The human attempt to honor and celebrate the labor of individuals in their most vulnerable moments is something that I think is the root focus and the real goal. And that can always be celebrated."

Having won his first Grammy in 1997, for Whatcha Lookin’ 4, in the Best Contemporary Soul Gospel Album, Franklin has also won in many other categories, including, Best Contemporary Soul Gospel Album, Best Gospel Choir or Chorus Album, Best Gospel Song, Best Contemporary R&B Gospel Album, and much more.

The singer also won the award for All Things, this year at the award function, in the Best Gospel Performance/ Song category. Furthermore, the singer has received many other awards, including the American Music Awards, Dove Awards, NAACP Image Awards, Stellar Awards, Urban Music Awards, and even the Soul Train Awards.

Throughout the years, Kirk Franklin has released many albums, which have become favorites of the masses, including The Rebirth of Kirk Franklin, Hero, The Fight of My Life, Hello Fear, Losing My Religion, and his recent 2023 album, Father’s Day.
