Lizzo reveals at an event that she has voted for Kamala Harris
The US Presidential Election is scheduled on November 5, 2024, and the competition between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump has been a topic of discussion for all this time.
Harris and Lizzo appeared together for an event recently and the latter requested everyone to vote for their choices in the election. She even had a message for those who considered that their vote was not important, saying that if that was true, "voter suppression" would not have existed at all. She explained and stated:
"If your vote didn't matter, they wouldn't discourage young people from going to the polls. If your vote didn't matter, our parents and our grandparents would not have marched and fought for our right to vote."
Melissa confirmed her appearance at the event as she attended the Fortune's Most Powerful Women Summit on October 14. Lizzo said at the Summit that she had voted for Harris and added:
"There's so many important issues on the ballot this year. And I just want to encourage everyone – I know everyone in this room is going to vote – but please, anyone who's going to see this video or hear this, please vote."
Apart from Lizzo, various well-known faces have showcased their support towards Harris this year. The list includes names such as Willie Nelson, Anne Hathaway, and Marc Anthony.
