Netizens have reacted to Bronx rapper Ice Spice showing off her gaming skills against rapper Lil Yachty over the weekend. In a video shared by the latter on Instagram, Spice is seen playing a game of Fortnite as herself against Yachty.

Ice Spice, along with Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and JuiceWrld, is one of four celebrities who have joined the game's Chapter 2 DLC package. The rapper debuted inside the game on November 14, 2024, and is available in two versions: Ice Spice and Rap Princess Ice Spice.

Both are available for 1500 V-Bucks each. Alternatively, a player may buy the Ice Bundle at 2800 V-Bucks, which includes both skins, back blings, exclusive emotes, and her microphone.

In the video shared by Lil Yachty, Spice is seen playing as herself and carrying a Skibidi toilet instead of her backpack. The Skibidi toilet is a reference to the Machinima web series created by Alexey Gerasimov. Released on his YouTube channel, DaFuq!? Boom!, the series contains an assortment of videos featuring a war between humanoid characters with electric heads and human-headed toilets.

Popular media outlets on X, like @PopCrave, posted the video of Spice playing Fortnite with Lil Yachty, and users took to the comment section to discuss it.

"Is that skibidi toilet?" a fan asked on X.
"That's a cool crossover! Ice Spice in Fortnite adds an interesting twist to the game," added another.
"“Where the guns at?” Gurl they’re literally in chests, on floors, literally in every building! She obviously has never played Fortnite before yet they gave her a skin and emotes !???" one user commented.
"How famous do you have to be to get a Fortnite skin?" one user wrote.

One user was curious about the financial aspect of the collaboration, asking:

"Must be nice? How much did they pay her?"
"This exciting collaboration highlights her avatar in the popular battle royale, bringing her iconic style into the virtual world," commented another.
"ice spice, playing as herself in fortnite wearing a skibidi toilet backbling while using gokus power pole as her harvesting tool" a fan declared.

Some other reactions on X are as follows:

"Seeing her as a skin gives me hope that anything can be added in Fortnite," a fan opined.
"From snoop dog then ice spice. Fortnite is really attracting celebrities," another chimed in.
"Zero shields, running around with just a pickaxe and no loudout to speak of, I think she gets the W," wrote another user on X.

Ice Spice apologizes after arriving at an Australian NYE Music Festival 25 minutes late

On New Year's Eve, Ice Spice faced backlash from fans for being 25 minutes late for her headlining act at Australia's Wildlands Festival in Brisbane. The Bronx rapper was one of the event's headliners and was scheduled to perform between 10:30 and 11:00 pm.

However, she entered the stage at 10:55 and could only perform two songs — Princess Diana and Deli. At 11:01, her microphone was disconnected while she was in the middle of her song In Ha Mood.

As per journalist Brenton Larney, she was even given an extra minute to compensate for the lost time. However, the organizers had to cut the performance short because of "tight scheduling requirements."

"At 11:01 p.m. They gave her an extra minute. They cut the mic and you heard the collective sigh from the crowd. They’d been waiting for a while and they get two songs?" told Larney in an interview with The Guardian.

Wildlands Festival organizers explained the incident on Instagram, writing:

"We understand that Ice Spice’s delayed arrival caused some frustration. Managing a stacked festival means that we have to be extremely firm with scheduled set times. We had a strict curfew of 12:30 and needed to ensure that Chase & Status went on stage on time so you could all enjoy the NYE Countdown!"

On January 4, Spice apologized for the debacle during a performance at Wildland's Perth leg. She said:

"I’m sorry guys, surely y’all can forgive me. It was my birthday and it takes a long time to look like a Barbie."

Adelaide's New Year's Eve celebration featured Ice Spice as one of the three headliners, along with Chase & Status and Fisher (OZ).
