Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin hosted his all-white party on July 4 with Drake and other eminent people from the industry in attendance. DJ Akademiks has revealed that Drake showed up at the party with more than twenty 'OVO DUDES' while all the other guests could take only one other person besides them to the party. A tweet from Akademiks TV on August 15 read,

Fans have reacted to the piece of information and have been divided about their opinion on it. While some have lauded the popularity of Drake for being allowed to bring twenty people, others have criticized the move. Some of the more popular tweets on X:

Kendrick Lamar's Not Like Us was banned from Michael Rubin's party, which had Drake as a guest
In an August 14 interview with Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin on The Breakfast Club, he confirmed the rumors that Kendrick Lamar's Not Like Us was banned from playing in his July 4th All-White party where Drake was also invited. In the interview with co-host Loren LoRosa, he commented:
"I sent a note and said, ‘Hey, let’s not play any one’s music that’s feuding with anyone that’s [at the party]’."
Rubin also confirmed that it was he who decided to not play the track and Drake had nothing to do with it.
“That was a ‘me’ decision. I just thought it was the appropriate thing,” he answered when LoRosa asked if Drake had said anything to influence the decision.
However, Michael Rubin recalled an awkward moment that happened the day before the party. When they were enjoying a BBQ, Spotify's Rap Caviar playlist was playing in the background. Suddenly, Not Like Us started playing and Rubin had to scramble to his feet and get someone to tap 'skip' as Drake was on his way to the party.
Rubin concluded by commenting on the online hatred Drizzy is getting because of his iconic feud with Kendrick Lamar. According to the Fanatics CEO, the rapper is a tough customer and things like these just made him tougher.
“You gotta be built for social media; you gotta be tough, you gotta take sh—t from people… Drake is an iconic artist that we all have tremendous respect for. What I said to Drake — and I honestly believe this — is this is a great test for him. You can’t get to where he’s got to and not have people coming for you.”
The Fanatics Fest starts today (August 16) and will last for two days at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City.
