People magazine confirmed the ex-couple's date of separation - April 26, 2024 - as listed in the divorce filing that Lopez's lawyer did at a Los Angeles County Superior Court. The duo first tied the knot in a Las Vegas ceremony on July 16, 2022. This year, August 20 marked the second anniversary of the former couple's traditional wedding at the actor's 87-acre estate in Georgia.

News of their divorce circulated online, and fans quickly shared their reactions, especially with divorce rumors going on for several months now. A fan in particular couldn't believe that the rumor turned out to be true.

Fans who had high hopes for the couple expressed their sadness over the news of Bennifer's split once again. The celebrity duo reunited and got married 17 years after they called it quits in 2004.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck divorce rumors have been going on since mid-May

The On the Floor singer filed to end her marriage with the Batman actor months after rumors started that there was a rift between the duo. While the former couple had collaborated on Lopez's musical documentary This Is Me... Now: A Love Story for Prime Video and her accompanying album in February, Affleck was noticeably absent from the singer's Atlas movie press tours.

In May, Lopez's schedule was packed with promotions for Atlas, her appearance at the 2024 Met Gala, and preparations for her US Summer tour. Meanwhile, Affleck was in Los Angeles filming for the second installment of his movie The Accountant.
