A woman, who recently sued rapper Sean 'Diddy" Combs for allegedly s*xually assaulting her, claimed she tried to stab the rapper after the assault in a recent interview. Ashley Parham, the alleged victim, appeared on NewsNation's Banfield interview on January 20, 2025, where she made the claim.
During the interview, Parham claimed the assault happened at a remote home in California in 2018. She accused Diddy, Shane Pearce, Pearce’s friend, and a bodyguard of taking turns to allegedly gang r*pe her as revenge for Parham accusing Diddy of killing Tupac Shakur.
Parham alleged that after the assault, she hit Diddy with the back of her left hand as she tried to escape. She added that she had a knife in her hands and was about to "plunge" it into the rapper but stopped herself after her “moral compass snapped back in." She claimed the rapper seemed "scared" during the encounter and looked at her like she was "the monster."
“I hit him in the back with my left hand and he fell down on the stairs. He was lying down on the stairs and he turned back and looked at me, and I had the knife in both of my hands. I was going to plunge the knife into him because it was a kill or be killed situation,” she added.
Ashley Parham filed a $50 million lawsuit against Diddy in October 2024
Ashley Parham's alleged assault first reached the media after she filed a $50 million lawsuit against the rapper a month after his arrest in September for federal charges including s*x trafficking and prostitution. Parham, who claimed the assault occurred in 2018, said she had gone to the house to meet Shane Pearce after having met him at a bar.
She claimed she met Diddy at the house, adding the rapper allegedly got angry with her after she questioned his involvement in Tupac Shakur's death. Shakur died in 1996 after he was targeted in a drive-by shooting.
Parham alleged the question made Diddy furious, who then threatened to sell her via human trafficking. She also alleged that Diddy ordered Kristina Khorram, his former chief of staff, to "insert a copper IUD" into her.
“Luckily, it (the IUD) deployed before she could actually get it inside me, like inside the cervix. And that’s when Sean Combs got extremely angry, and he grabbed the TV remote and s*xually assaulted me v*ginally with the remote, extremely violently.”
Parham claimed Pearce, his friend, and the unnamed bodyguard also took turns r*ping her while Diddy filmed the alleged assault. She also said that the rapper "started firing a gun" at her after the alleged assault, following which she ran and got help from a neighbor.
Ashley Parham returned to the scene of the alleged assault
While recounting the alleged assault on Banfield, Ashley Parham said that the neighbor called the police; however, the officials allegedly didn't offer her much help and left her there.
Parham claimed she returned to the home where her alleged assault occurred to collect her belongings after speaking with the police. After host Ashleigh Banfield questioned why Parham returned to the place, Parham replied:
“I kind of just gave up on life. Honestly, if they had killed me that night, I wouldn’t, I wouldn’t have cared at that point. I know that doesn’t make any sense to people. But the Orinda hills are incredibly dark and windy hills. The idea of running half naked down to police who weren’t gonna help me anyway wasn’t gonna happen. I just lost faith in humanity and just lied in bed until I fell asleep.”
Diddy's legal team issued a statement to Page Six Wednesday denying Parham's allegations following the Banfield interview. They claimed the alleged victim's account of events was "unfounded," as mentioned by the Contra Costa Sheriff’s Department, where Parham had initially filed a complaint after the alleged assault.
His attorneys also claimed that the rapper was "nowhere near" the location at the time where the alleged assault occurred.
“There is no evidence that Mr. Combs was ever in the same room as Ms. Parham. She is completely unbelievable and no sane person who views the evidence will credit her story.”
Sean Combs is awaiting his trial, scheduled for May 2025. The court denied his many attempts for bond, and the rapper is currently at the Metropolitan Detention Centre.
Ashley Parham's lawsuit is one of the many filed against the rapper following his arrest, with several alleged victims accusing him of s*xual abuse, assault, r*pe, and harassment. Diddy has denied all allegations at the time of this article.
