On Thursday, during a podcast, Lil Yachty and James Blake found themselves recalling the most noteworthy moment in their musical journey, both hinting at one involving Young Thug. When asked about his craziest studio session experience, Blake replied:

"Probably Young Thug, during Covid."

Lil Yachty agreed, suggesting that the session with the YSL rapper was the "craziest" for him too.

"I was just about to say the same thing. Young Thug, for me, was definitely the craziest session ever," Yachty added.

The conversation then became more detailed, with the Georgian rapper narrating the scene when there were many people in a single room, low lights, and everyone was talking, but Thug kept on recording for his projects.

"No one stops talking, it's weed smoke, there's nowhere to sit, the lights are low and nothing stops," Yachty recalled.

Blake shared a very similar experience, suggesting that Young Thug continues recording regardless of the circumstances.

"And nothing stops, it's like it just carries on, he keeps recording. It doesn't matter that you're there," Blake added.

James Blake further suggested that his experience working with Thug was the "sweetest," as the YSL rapper was very "supportive" and kept on checking if Blake was enjoying the music.

"I mean, he was actually so sweet. I really enjoyed like working with him. He was very supportive and like he kept roaming like and checking out always if everything is good and like checking out if I was enjoying the music, enjoying the song we making and stuff," Blake added.

Lil Yachty has always shown admiration for his friend and collaborator. On September 26, 2022, Yachty took to his Instagram story and shared a picture of him with Thug gazing off into the distance, suggesting that Thugger is "solid."

"Arguably the most solid [ expletive] ever," Yachty wrote.

On another occasion, on July 18, 2020, Lil Yachty took to X and mentioned Thug and Future, calling them the "greatest" and shall be "respected."

"Young Thug & Future Are The Greatest And Shall Be Respected And Spoken Of Like So," Yachty wrote on X.

James Blake and Young Thug joined forces for a one-song only, Kisses Make Sure, released on February 23, 2024. It was a duet track by Blake and Strick, in which Thug was featured.

Meanwhile, Lil Yachty and Thug collaborated multiple times, including Coloring Book Mixtape on May 13, 2016, Been Thru A Lot released on September 8, 2016, and On Me on September 29, 2017.

Young Thug has not commented on Lil Yachty's or James Blake's remarks. Meanwhile, the duo's studio album has been released. According to the Guardian, the album has some truly thrilling moments, such as Yachty's flexible voice enhanced by James Blake's innovative tricks.
