A$AP ROCKY recently spoke about his busy schedule and how he tries to extract time for his family, especially his partner Rihanna. One of Hollywood's most famous celebrity couples, the rapper and singer duo have two children together - 2-year-old RZA Athelston Mayers, and 1-year-old Riot Rose Mayers.
In an interview with Billboard on August 22, 2024, the 35-year-old opened up about his relationship with Rihanna, fatherhood, and music. The rapper described the Umbrella hitmaker as a great mother and an inspiring partner. He spoke further about their hectic work life:
"It’s crazy how we find balance with our chaotic schedules. The relationship] is going great. I don’t think there’s a more perfect person because when the schedules are hectic, she’s very understanding of that. And when the schedule’s freed up, that’s when you get to spend [the] most time together. It’s all understanding and compatibility.”

A$AP ROCKY’s intimate interview with Billboard saw the Fashion Killa hitmaker walking around Harlem, where he was born and grew up. Reminiscing fond memories about his childhood, he spoke on life in Harlem:
“I think being in Harlem allows you the freedom of walking to the store, walking to the park, getting clear in your mind, going to the swings, being more present and active.”
He also admitted that his children will also be able to live the same childhood he did. He pulled out a video recording of Rihanna and his son RZA, casually taking a stroll, before adding:
“They still human. They human beings.”
In another interview with Billboard in May 2022, A$AP ROCKY talked about the kind of children he hoped to raise. He mentioned:
"I hope to raise open-minded children. Not people who discriminate. And I’m not trying to describe a saint, but realistically, I just want a cool child with cool parents.”
A$AP ROCKY and Rihanna’s relationship history
The couple reportedly started as friends after their collaboration for the remix of Rihanna’s single titled Cockiness, (Love It) in 2012 and their subsequent performance at the MTV Video Music Awards in the same year. The two continued to be spotted together for events like the Louis Vuitton Paris Fashion Week show in 2013 and the British Fashion Awards in 2019.
It wasn’t until 2020 that speculations began about their relationship being made official. A$AP ROCKY starred in the Fenty Skin campaign in the same year and they spent Christmas Eve of 2020 together.
A$AP ROCKY confirmed their relationship in a GQ interview in May 2021 and called the Diamond crooner the love of his life. They welcomed their two sons RZA and Riot in May 2022 and August 2023 respectively.
