Ice Spice addressed the feud with Latto in a Rolling Stone cover published on July 25. The Big Mama singer shared a video of a poop emoji cake in June, which fans believed was a diss at Ice Spices after she dropped her song Think U the S*** (Fart) on January 26, 2024.
Ice Spice revealed there have been no issues from her side.
"I feel like if we ever spoke and I asked her 'What's the issue? it'd be like a blank stare. It'd really be no issue whatsoever. Especially from me," she said.
Ice Spice also said that their beef had been unnecessarily stretched out:
"I can understand a friendly competition, but I just feel like at this point it's a joke that she's just dragged out, and it's just not even funny," she noted.
Her cover story was published one day before the release of her debut album, Y2K, which is all set to hit streaming platforms on July 26. In the cover story, Ice Spice also opened up about her relationship with Nicki Minaj, Drake, and Central Cee.
What happened between Ice Spice and Latto
Ice Spice in February, connected with her fans in a Spaces by X session, a live audio session that anyone could join in real-time. While chatting with her fans, Ice acknowledged that her song Think U the S**t (Fart) was aimed at a person who had her music video playing in the background of a "weak a** snippet."
"I put it out because b***hes were being funny that day. Like why am I in the background of your weak a** snippet?"
Although the rapper didn't reveal any names, fans were quick to surmise that the person in question was Latto, after the Atlanta rapper uploaded a TikTok video with Ice's Pretty Girl playing in the background.
In June, Latto became the first female to headline Hot 107.9's Birthday Bash event in Atlanta. To celebrate the accomplishment, Latto posted a video on Instagram stories where she can be seen thanking her mother and sister for a balloon-cake presentation and revealed a chocolate poop emoji cake with the inscription on the cake reading, "Holy S**t, You're Headlining."
As the video ended, Latto rapped, "Think I'm the sh*t b**ch, I know it."
In the recent Rolling Stone cover published on July 25, Spice addressed Latto's cake decoration saying,
"Like, bro, 'Think U the Sh**' is from January. You're going to post a piece of s**t cake to announce something that good news for you? But it is kind of a compliment because you're taking something that's supposed to be a fun moment for you and you're making it about me again."
While Latto is yet to respond to Spice's message, both rappers have albums coming out in the upcoming days. While Ice Spice's debut album streams on July 26, Latto's Sugar Honey Iced Tea album is all set to release on August 9, 2024.
