On December 3, Kendrick Lamar announced his upcoming tour titled Grand National Tour, which is slated to begin on April 19, 2025. The upcoming world tour aims to promote his sixth studio album GNX, which received massive attention from Lamar's audience in November.

According to NFR Podcast, Kendrick Lamar has now added two new dates in the upcoming world tour. The dates have reportedly been scheduled in Los Angeles and Toronto on May 24 and June 13 respectively.

As the reports of new tour dates started making rounds on the internet, netizens began highlighting that the existing shows weren't even sold up. They flooded the social media platforms with their reactions on the same. A user wrote on X:

"The propaganda is propagandaring because it’s not even NEAR SOLD OUT 😱."
"Kendrick preforming back to back in Toronto due to high demand is something," another user tweeted.
"'High demand' LA not even sold out lmao," commented a netizen.
"Why is he booming so many shows in Canada? He’s not even a top 10 streaming artist here," wondered another netizen.

While some netizens criticized Kendrick Lamar for taking the step of adding up shows, others defended him. A user referred to an alleged screenshot of the seat map of the concert and supported the rapper's decision.

"Is this legit high demand?" a fan wrote.
"This is going to be amazing to see," added a tweet.
"I've seen Kendrick live three times and each show hits harder than the last," read a tweet.

Fans even pointed out the concert dates, which may fall a little before Father's Day (June 15, 2025). As reported by HotNewHipHop, fans speculated that this might be a dig at Drake's bad parenting as he also set additional shows in Drizzy's hometown. For the unversed, the album GNX made it to streaming platforms, months before Drake and Kendrick Lamar had a beef.

Kendrick Lamar would be partnering with SZA for the upcoming tour

The former labelmates from Top Dawg Entertainment, Kendrick Lamar and SZA, had worked together on several projects together before working on two songs from GNX. On December 3, the duo further announced their upcoming Grand National Tour covering cities across Canada and the US.

Kendrick and SZA are expected to perform across a number of cities like Minneapolis, Houston, Atlanta, Inglewood, Glendale, Chicago, Toronto, Seattle, Philadelphia, and Detroit, and several others. The first show, set on April 19, is slated to take place in Minneapolis and the last one is scheduled on June 18 in Landover.

Another factor about the upcoming concert that has caught netizens' attention is the price of the tickets. As per Ticketmaster, the price range is $49-$1200. Many netizens have also made remarks about the same.

While two pre sale options began on December 4, general sale is scheduled to open on Friday, December 6, at 10 am CST, on Ticketmaster and grandnationaltour.com.
