On January 13, rumors of Nine Inch Nails going on their Peel It Back World Tour this year went viral online. Certain dates, including shows in Toronto, Cleveland, and Tampa, also circulated across the internet. As many took to the internet to react to the same, the band took to their official Instagram account to confirm that they are going on tour this year.
Lambgoat reported on January 13 that whispers of Nine Inch Nails announcing their upcoming tour made the rounds online. Meanwhile, Reddit user ask_ashleyyy took to the r/nin subreddit to share that they received a Facebook alert of the band adding a show on September 10 as a part of their Peel It Back World Tour 2025.
As per Stereogum, a Reddit user also claimed that they saw a listing on Ticketmaster that read that there would be an onsite the upcoming Friday, January 17, for an Amalie Arena Tampa, Florida concert.

- 08/31 Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse @ Cleveland, OH
- 09/10 Amalie Arena @ Tampa, FL
As per Stereogum, some Redditers also mentioned other U.S. shows being held in the aforementioned tour, including those in Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Raleigh, Atlanta, Manchester, and London.
Netizens have since taken to Reddit to respond to the rumors of there being a Nine Inch Nails tour happening this year. One netizen said:

Nine Inch Nails takes to social media to confirm tour
On January 14, the rock band took to their Instagram account to confirm that they would be hitting the road. They added that the official dates will be announced at a later time because of the LA wildfires. Their statement read:
“Since some dates and information about our world tour have leaked online we are confirmed that yes we will be touring and will provide more details soon. We are all watching the devastation that is unfolding in California and have paused our announcement while people try to deal with all that is happening.”
Earlier this month, Nine Inch Nails won the Best Original Score at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards for Challengers. Last year, the award went to Ludwig Göransson for his work on Oppenheimer.
