"It’s Meek Mill’s fault" — DJ Akademiks blames rapper for Drake and Kendrick Lamar's beef

On the latest episode of the Full Send podcast, which aired on May 15, DJ Akademiks explained that, according to him, Meek Mill acted as a catalyst in the intense beef between Kendrick Lamar and Drake. He further gave his opinion on his reason for blaming Mill for the beef, even though he wasn't directly a part of it.

Meanwhile, DJ Akademiks and Meek Mill had been in the middle of a beef that made the latter even block DJ on on X. In the recent podcast episode, the American podcaster said,

"What we’re seeing even with Drake and Kendrick – it’s Meek Mill’s fault."

DJ Akademiks opines that the Kendrick Lamar vs. Drake feud started with Meek Mill's beef with the latter

On Wednesday, the latest episode of the Full Send podcast was aired, in which DJ Akademiks revealed who he blamed for the intense beef between Canadian rapper Drake and K.Dot. According to him, it was Meek Mill who acted as a catalyst in the entire battle between the two rappers.

He first referred to Meek and Drake's feud, which happened back in 2015. According to DJ, Meek Mill could have dragged the Canadian star out of the beef since he had the upper hand. He added:

"So now it’s given Drake the level of confidence to say, ‘Yo I’ve defeated the battlers of the battlers. These guys really don’t wanna see me.’ … And now we realize Meek Mill – as 50 Cent said – is a special type of stupid. Like literally, anybody could have defeated him. I defeated him on Twitter [and] he just blocked me."

He further described Meek Mill as being "dumb." He added that the audience possibly gave too much credit to the Canadian rapper for defeating Mill in the previous feud. The podcaster continued by stating:

"Meek has a remedial, slower person’s brain. If you put an actual able-bodied brain in there, he might have beaten Drake."

Ak then explained that instead of tweeting about Drake having ghostwriters, Mill could have just put that information into a diss track the way that Pusha T did. The podcaster added that in such a case, it would be a "different type of battle."

While talking on his podcast about the feud, he highlighted what went wrong in it and further blamed Mill for all of it. DJ Akademiks believed that Drake got into the feud with Pusha T and Kendrick Lamar due to sheer overconfidence. The confidence, according to Ak, came from the win against Meek Mill, as mentioned before. Netizens reacted to DJ Akademiks' recent opinion on Meek Mill. One user wrote,

"Even tho it’s off topic he’s right drake winning the meek beef boosted his ego and then goes on to lose 2 rap beefs to actual rappers."

Ak has always been a significant part of the rap beef between Drizzy and K.Dot. He even premiered Drake's diss track Push Ups on his live stream. Hot New HipHop reported that it was DJ Akademiks who was one of the first people to listen to Family Matters.

However, at the end, even the podcaster seemed to have admitted that Drake got defeated in the beef after Euphoria and Not Like Us topped the charts.

Mill and DJ Akademiks have been in a feud for some time now

Meek Mill and DJ Akademiks have been in a feud that began after some comments made by Ak on his podcast. However, it garnered more attention in March after Damon Feldman offered them $1 million for anyone who would win a match. Feldman even told TMZ that he had also booked a venue for the duo to settle the beef once and for all.

Feldman added:

“DJ Akademiks, always starting sh*t — listen, man, you gotta step up. I already have the boxing training camp for you at Gonzalez Gym. Raekwon here is going to train you. Meek Mill, he already has a trainer with Monique Jackson.”

Neither Mill nor Ak went along with the generous offer made by Damon Feldman. Later, Ak made a lucrative offer of $1 million to Meek Mill for the rights to the latter's podcast. This happened after Mill revealed that he wanted to start a podcast because he had a lot to share. Meek Mill then took to X and said,

"If you have a podcast business moving slow I can reverse that! From – meek mill – I’ve always been my own media and I wanna join the culture of black media!"

Despite Ak's generous offer, Mill laughed it out and said that he and his friends have more money than anybody that Ak did any business with. In a tweet, Mill wrote,

"I’m richer than everybody that deal with you lol."

Since these series of tweets, Ak and Mill have been going at each other whenever possible, with the podcaster now blaming him for the Lamar-Drake beef.
