In the interview with The Guardian, Lenny Kravitz spoke about a lot of topics, one of which was his choice of opting for celibacy. The rock star said that he believed it was more of a spiritual thing for him. He added that until he found the right person for himself, he would want to stay that way.
The actor first spoke about embracing celibacy back in 2008, in an interview with Maxime magazine. He then said that he would not have s*x until he got married to someone. He further added that for him, the relationship should be based more on a soulful connection than a physical connection. He added,
"[It is] just a promise I made until I get married. Where I'm at in life, the women have got to come with something else, not just the body, but the mind and spirit."
Lenny Kravitz also said,
"It usually trips them out, but that's the way it's going to be. I'm looking at the big picture."
The rockstar had been married to actress Lisa Bonet, for a few years from 1987 to 1993. The former couple also had a child Zoë Kravitz in 1988. Zoë is also an established actress right now and has been a part of projects like X-Men: First Class and The Divergent Series. He added:
"So I went to the gym and I did a 90-minute workout at 2am. I don’t want to be in the gym at 2 am, but I know that I must.” Why? “Because it’s part of my discipline – it’s about body, mind and spirit."
