Rapper Markies Conway, aka Yella Beezy, responded to being named in a $50 million lawsuit over an alleged backstage brawl at a Chris Brown concert. A statement made to The Shade Room on Friday, July 26, 2024, issued through his attorney, Daryl K. Washington, denied the rapper's involvement in the incident.

Washington stated:

"(Beezy) did not have any contact with the Plaintiffs and does not understand why he is a named party in the lawsuit or the temporary restraining order that clearly was filed before all facts were obtained and verified."

Calling the lawsuit "frivolous and without merit," he explained that it was filed without a thorough investigation; otherwise, it would be clear that the rapper was not involved. The lawyer called for a proper investigation to be conducted, adding that they would fight those responsible for defaming Beezy.

"It is simply impossible to falsely accuse him, or any other party, for being involved in an incident when there is no evidence to support the accusations," Washington concluded.

For the uninitiated, on July 22, 2024, Yella Beezy and Chris Brown were sued by four men, alleging that they were assaulted backstage at the latter's Fort Worth, Texas, show (July 20). The men claimed the altercation was choreographed by Chris Brown.

In addition to Chris Brown and Yella Beezy, the lawsuit named Sinko Ceej, the latter's entourage lieutenant, and Live Nation

The incident occurred on Saturday, July 20, after Brown's 11:11 Tour show in Fort Worth, Texas. Per the Shade Room, the plaintiffs, namely Larry Parker, Joseph Lewis, Charles Bush, and Da Marcus Powell, were invited backstage along with 40 women.

Per the lawsuit, Bush greeted the rapper, but someone from the Superhero hitmaker's team shouted:

"Man, you don't remember you two were beefing?"

To which Brown replied:

"Oh yeah, we were. What's up, n**ga? I don't forget shit."

Chris then allegedly instructed his team and Yella Beezy to attack the men and "f*ck them up." The ensuing chaos left plaintiffs suffering serious injuries requiring medical attention. Per their lawyer, Tony Buzbee, one is still hospitalized.

In addition to Chris Brown and Yella Beezy, the suit names Sinko Ceej, part of Beezy's entourage, and Live Nation.

While Chris Brown has not publicly reacted to the allegations, he was hit with another lawsuit. Per TMZ Hip Hop, Frederick R. Overpeck, a security guard who was on duty during the brawl, claimed he was badly injured as he tried to break up the scuffle.

Overpeck explained that he sustained a cracked vertebrae and severe hip damage. The new lawsuit verifies certain details in the first claims, including Brown telling his crew to "f*ck them up." The 58-year-old is seeking $15 million in damages.

Chris Brown has yet to respond to the lawsuits.
