Soulja Boy recently spoke to TMZ and stated he had cleared the air with Drake after he assumed he was dissed by the Canadian rapper in Lil Yachty's Super Soak. According to Soulja, he directly confronted Drake regarding the misunderstanding. The rapper spoke to TMZ on his 34th birthday on July 28, where he spoke about several things, including the leaked diss track.

He told the outlet,

"I got to the bottom of that and I holla’d at Drake and them and it wasn’t no diss. That song was a snippet, that was a leak. That song wasn’t even supposed to come out. That’s Lil Yachty song, but shout out to the boy Drake."

For the unversed, Twitch streamer Kai Cenat previewed a leaked track named Super Soak featuring Lil Yachty and Drake, on a live stream, just a few days back. Soulja Boy responded to it and appeared on an Instagram live session. During the live session, he said,

"And Drake, you up here talkin’ about some S.O.D. super soak. Boy, stop playin’ wit’ me, boy. That better be a f*cking shout out, n----..."

After placing a warning on an Instagram live, Soulja now claimed that they were fine, and that the leaked track wasn't a diss.

The leaked track initially seemed like a response from Drake to Soulja Boy after the latter expressed his disappointment towards the Canadian artist

The reported miscommunication began after Soulja Boy posted a tweet mentioning that Drake's performance in the recent beef disappointed him. In the tweet which was posted on July 16, the 34-year-old rapper said,

"You disappointed me. @Drake"

In another tweet, which was posted shortly after the previous one, he wrote,

"Doing all them weak a** songs with them n----- look where It got u none of them n----- you collab with or took on tour had yo back @Drake."

About a week after the aforementioned tweets, a leaked diss track surfaced on the internet, after Kai Cenat previewed it on his stream. Netizens picked up on one lyric from the leak,

"I’m watchin’ the moves, playin’ it close/ S.O.D., super soak."

Many speculated that the lyrics were meant as a comeback to Soulja's tweet about being "disappointed."

The leaked track, however, didn't sit well with Soulja Boy, who got infuriated and shared a response soon. This time, he didn't even tweet or upload a post. Soulja came on an Instagram live session and addressed the alleged "sneak diss" by Drake. He even warned him to "keep it light". The rapper further suggested it wouldn't be a great thing for Drake to be involved in a beef. Soulja said,

"This your first and only warning. This not gon’ be the best idea for you, family."

While fans were eager to know the updates about the possible beef between the two, it seemed to be not happening after Soulja's statement to TMZ, where he confirmed things were sorted between the two rappers.

When Soulja Boy had mentioned the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef while warning the latter, he too was involved in a feud two months ago. Soulja got in a conflict with 21 Savage, back in May 2024. Before that, he also targeted Metro Boomin and commented on his late mother, who died in an apparent murder-suicide incident.

In the same interview with TMZ, Soulja Boy further revealed that he'd be "the first rapper" to build his car brand. The rapper even thought of a name which was "Soulja Cars." He even claimed that he was up for a collaboration with Tesla CEO Elon Musk if he would share the wealth.

This statement came after he was flaunting his new Cybertruck. The latest two posts on Soulja's Instagram feed also contain videos and photos of his new vehicle.

Soulja Boy released his latest album, Swag Season, on his 34th birthday

Soulja Boy recently released his latest album Swag Season on July 28. The last album released before this was Swag 6, which came out in February this year. HotNewHipHop reported the latest album could be a "sequel" to his 2023 album Swag Season. However, in that case, the recently released one would be a shorter tape.

Some singles of this album are Drip Check, Tornado Arm, Big Check, Balling Like Jordan, My Phone Ringing, and I Can Buy Anything.

Fans have expressed excitement with the release of the new album.
