On August 30, 2024, Jack White threatened Donald Trump with a lawsuit, calling out the former US president over an alleged unauthorized use of his music.

The White Stripes rocker reshared a tweet seemingly posted by Margo Martin, the former president's deputy director of communications, on his Instagram. It features a clip of Trump walking up the stairs of a plane while White's Seven Nation Army plays. In the caption, Jack White slammed Margo and Trump for allegedly using his song without his consent.

"Oh....Don't even think about using my music you fascists. Lawsuit coming from my lawyers about this (to add to your 5 thousand others.)," he wrote.

Jack White also sarcastically shared a "great day at work" shoutout for Martin in the caption.

The rocker joins the long list of musicians slamming Trump's campaign for using their music without consent. Celine Dion had previously slammed the former president's use of her song My Heart Will Go On during his Montana rally.

Jack White thinks Donald Trump should lose every military family's vote amid lawsuit threat

Elsewhere in the caption of his latest Instagram post, Jack White called out Donald Trump for allegedly "insulting our nation's veterans at Arlington", referencing the confrontation involving Trump's camp at the Arlington National Cemetery on Monday during a wreath-laying ceremony.

Reports mentioned that two of Trump's presidential campaign staffers got into a verbal and physical altercation with a cemetery official while the former president went there to visit some graves. In Jack White's caption, he said that Trump should lose the support of military families in the upcoming election for the events on Monday.

"You should lose every military family's vote immediately from that if ANYTHING makes sense anymore," he said.

Jack White's recent call-out isn't the first time the White Stripes, which comprises Jack and Meg White, slammed Trump for using the song Seven Nation Army.

The former president reportedly used the same track in a campaign video when he first ran for the POTUS seat in 2016. After this, the rockstar band released their displeasure with Trump's unauthorized use of their music. In their statement at that time, the White Stripes said:

"Regarding the use of "Seven Nation Army" in a Donald Trump campaign video, The White Stripes would like to unequivocally state that they have nothing whatsoever to do with this video. They are disgusted by this association, and by the illegal use of their song."

In related news, the ex-POTUS has been threatened and served with legal action for using some of the artists' music without permission in the past couple of weeks. Musicians Johnny Marr, The Rolling Stones, and Phil Collins, among others, also took a stance against the former POTUS, denying him of using their songs during his campaigns.

Additionally, Beyonce sent a cease and desist order to Trump's camp, stopping them from using her hit song Freedom in his campaign video. Interestingly, Trump's opponent, Kamala Harris, uses Beyoncé's track as her campaign theme song, which the musician allegedly signed off on.

Isaac Hayes's son also filed a lawsuit against Donald Trump for using his father's song without permission.
