Diddy has been losing on brand deals after the set of allegations began piling up

After involving himself in a pool of lawsuits and allegations, the rapper has now been replaced in his track with the new Cipha Sounds remix version.

Cipha Sounds posted a video on Instagram, where he explained that the idea of the replacement came after Diddy began getting boycotted by radio stations. In the video, he said,

"P. Diddy is canceled. Whatever crazy shit happened with him, that’s over there. I’m talking about Hip Hop-wise, as a DJ from New York City — I’m on 94.7 The Block — they telling me I can’t play P. Diddy’s music no more."

The rapper further spoke about All About The Benjamins and stated that it would be tragic if he couldn't play it. Thus, he replaced Combs with Jadakiss. Cipha Sounds added some verses that Combs rapped on initially were written by Jadakiss, so it wasn't "weird" too.

After the allegations, the rapper got fired from his own media agency Revolt. In November 2023, he temporarily stepped down from his chairperson's post after the Ventura suit was filed.

Jadakiss had previously revealed that he wrote the verses and that he hated ghost-writing for Combs

In a 2020 interview at Talib Kweli’s People’s Party podcast, Jadakiss also spoke about writing Diddy's verses on the track. When the podcaster asked him who came up with the verses, Jadakiss said that it was him. According to him, Combs heard him rhyming and wanted the verses for himself.

"I already had that rhyme and he heard it and was like, ‘Naw, that’s me. Lemme get that rhyme right there.’ So he took that and put that on ‘The Benjamins.'"

In the interview, Jadakiss further explained that he and Sheek Louch were not very fond of the beats, but had to record them because of Combs.

"We didn’t really understand what that beat was; it didn’t grab us at the time. [But] Diddy knew. That’s what makes Diddy Diddy."

Then in 2022, Jadakiss spoke about Combs while talking on Smoke DZA’s The Personal Party Podcast. According to Jadakiss, he didn't like ghost-writing for Combs, during the time in the 1990s when The LOX signed to Bad Boy. He further recalled penning down several tracks for Combs's 1997 album No Way Out.

"I didn’t know how to morph. It ain’t like he was a [expletive] that I knew my whole life and I could describe him how I think he should be."

"I ain’t feel like I could write the bars for myself and give it to him because I didn’t feel like it fit it. He had too much money."

Jadakiss stated he felt it was "taking too much of him" after he penned down some hit songs for the rapper.
