Following Donald Trump's victory in the US Presidential Election on November 5, 2024, Meek Mill's tweet grabbed attention online. The tweet was shared on Wednesday, November 6, where he claimed that the public was brainwashed. The post read:
"I'm glad the election over the brainwash was turned up on max!"
This was two days after Mill requested everyone to vote through another tweet. He even released a track titled Who You Voting For on November 3, where he seemingly supported Kamala Harris, who also participated in the election. A portion of the lyrics stated:
"My homie said he vote for Trump, he want that stimulus. I want it too for him, but the way he moving venomous. I work for everything I got, earn all my privileges. They give immunity to cops, they gone probably finish us."
Meanwhile, netizens took to the comments section of The Shade Room's Instagram post, which included a glimpse of Meek Mill's tweet, to share their reactions to the same.
Several people were seemingly dissatisfied with the post and one of them reacted by writing:
"Just like diddy brainwashed you."
Following Diddy's arrest in September this year, the names of various celebrities have been linked to him, including Meek Mill. An audio clip of Mill speaking to Diddy on call also emerged in the same month, which was also believed to be manipulated, as per The Express Tribune.
However, Mill later denied his involvement with the rapper through X, describing the call as a conspiracy to target people like him.
Furthermore, he shared another tweet on September 24, 2024, saying that he is offering $100,000 to an investigative team to find his links to Diddy's case.
He also wrote:
"I also want them to look at who is powering the media involving "meek" anything to do with buddy! "Something not right."
On the other hand, social media users continued responding to Mill's latest tweet:
Meek Mill did not endorse anyone before the election
Before the US Presidential Election 2024, multiple celebrities endorsed Donald Trump and Kamala Harris on social media and platforms. However, Mill was not one of them.
Meek had still posted some tweets earlier this year, addressing Harris and Trump. One of them referred to the former as he wrote on August 15, 2024:
"I would ask her 3 questions about black and brown men going to prison and her views and try to help her understand from a survival standpoint point she may have never had to encounter!"
In another post shared the same day, Meek Mill spoke on Trump's assassination attempt that happened on July 14, 2024, and stated:
"He got shot at basically put his middle finger up after a bang out got hit in the head nobody ran ….hope you get well too we get shot at a lot! Got indicted still running for president! Who is this guy trump fr I know some wild guys but wtf lol just my thoughts!"
Apart from this, Meek Mill later shared an Instagram Story, saying that he was willing to perform his single Dreams and Nightmares at the presidential debate, which was held on September 10, 2024.
