In a statement, music mogul 50 Cent has reiterated his long-standing concerns regarding fellow industry icon Sean Diddy Combs, following Combs' recent arrest. On October 20, 2024, 50 Cent shared his candid views with People regarding Combs.

He acknowledged that some may find his recent comments about the Bad Boy Records owner to be outrageous. However, he emphasized that his critiques are not new and have been part of his discourse on Combs for over a decade. He said:

"Look, it seems like I’m doing some extremely outrageous things, but I haven’t. It’s really me just saying what I’ve been saying for 10 years."

50 Cent's remarks about Combs over the past decade are rooted in their ongoing feud, which began in the early 2000s. The public aspect of their conflict was ignited in 2006 when 50 Cent alleged in his song The Bomb that Combs was aware of the identity of the person responsible for the murder of The Notorious B.I.G.

Following the statement, Diddy was arrested on September 16, 2024, under s*x trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution charges from the Park Hyatt Hotel in Manhattan.

Over the weekend, 50 Cent sat down with People for an interview to discuss his concerns regarding fellow industry icon Sean Diddy Combs.

During the candid conversation, 50 Cent explained that he has intentionally distanced himself from the chaotic disputes and drama often associated with the hip-hop industry, stating that such conflict is not in line with his style.

"Now it’s becoming more full-facing in the news with the Puffy stuff. But away from that, I’m like, ‘Yo, it’s just my perspective because I stayed away from that stuff the entire time because this is not my style," 50 said.

This is not the first time 50 Cent has spoken out about Combs. Since their feud began in 2006, the two have exchanged public jabs and diss tracks. Most recently, 50 Cent made headlines again regarding Combs when singer Cassie filed a lawsuit against the Bad Boy Records owner in late 2023 for alleged s*xual assault.

In response, 50 Cent announced plans to produce a documentary about Combs on Netflix. Following the announcement, 50 took to X, suggesting that if Diddy were smart, he would file for bankruptcy now.

"If he’s smart he will file bankruptcy now. Anyone with real money knows why I’m saying this. Im the best producer for the job guys," 50 tweeted.

In March 2024, federal law enforcement searched Combs' homes in Miami and Los Angeles. While the nature of the raids was undisclosed at the time, 50 Cent seized the opportunity to comment on the situation.

He tweeted on X, suggesting that Combs was likely in serious legal trouble, implying the raids were connected to an ongoing case.

"Now it’s not Diddy do it, it’s Diddy done 🤷🏽‍♂️they don’t come like that unless they got a case," 50 wrote.

Following the Combs' arrest in September 2024, 50 Cent took to his X account on September 25, 2024, and suggested that he had been warning people about the Puff's parties for years but no one believed in him.

"I been telling y’all about all this weird shit, I don’t do NO puffy party’s. you didn’t believe me 🤨but I bet you believe me now!" 50 wrote.

According to Variety, 50 Cent has also collaborated with Netflix on a documentary about Combs, titled Diddy Do It. The documentary will cover all allegations against Combs, including those related to sexual assault and abuse, providing an in-depth examination of the claims.

Speaking to Variety in September 2024, 50 suggested that the situation being discussed goes beyond the surface-level news coverage or brief glimpses people have seen.

"This is a story with significant human impact. It is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far," 50 said.

50 Cent further commented that while the allegations against Combs are deeply disturbing, the documentary will not portray these issues as reflective of the entire hip-hop culture.

The aim is to ensure that the actions of a few individuals do not overshadow the broader contributions and significance of the hip-hop industry. The release date for the Netflix documentary is yet to be announced.

According to BBC, Diddy is currently being held in federal custody and is waiting for his trial, which is set to be held in May 2025.
