Rapper and songwriter, Kendrick Lamar, dropped the highly anticipated music video for his Drake diss track Not Like Us on July 4, 2024. The now-viral video showed K-Dot visiting multiple locations across his hometown of Compton, California, as excited fans followed him and rapped the chorus:

“They not like us/ They not like us/ They not like us.”

The video also showed Kendrick Lamar's fiancé, Whitney Alford, matching steps with him with their two children, Enoch and Uzi, in the living room. The couple did a crip walk together, while the kids played and danced around in the monochrome shot.

After the release of the video, K-Dot's fans had diverse reactions, as many called out and trolled Drake for spreading lies through his Kendrick Lamar diss tracks. In the tracks, Family Matters and The Heart Pt. 6, the Toronto native made multiple allegations against his longtime rival.

6 God accused K-Dot of domestic violence and Whitney Alford of infidelity. He also claimed that their longtime family friend and business associate, Dave Free, was the biological father of one of their kids. Drake even claimed that the Pulitzer Prize winner was estranged from his family.

However, the Not Like Us music video now seemed to have put Drake’s accusations to rest. Fans took to X to call Drake a liar and a loser for his claims.

“Drake did all the lying on Kendrick’s wife just for his wife to pop out and crip walk with her man,” a fan wrote.
“Yeah, it’s over, Kendrick got the whole family doing the crip walk,” one fan wrote.
“Whitney crip walking all over Drake grave,” another fan wrote.
“Drake forever a loser lmao,” a netizen wrote.
“I can feel the goal post shifting right now as we speaking,” another netizen wrote.
“Ovh*es gonna be real quiet now lol,” an individual wrote.
“Aubrey Graham lied again,” another individual wrote.
“What Drake fans gonna do now? Y’all bout to cope so hard,” a person wrote.

A day before the music video was dropped, its teaser images also took the internet by storm, especially a black-and-white portrait of Kendrick Lamar, Whitney Alford, and their kids.

All you need to know about Kendrick Lamar’s Not Like Us music video

Kendrick Lamar filmed the music video for his last Drake diss track, Not Like Us, on June 22, 2024, across locations around his hometown of Compton, California. These included places like City Hall, Tam’s Burgers food joint, and the Nickerson Gardens projects.

While the video was being shot, fans shared some videos and images that showed them following the rapper around. In one clip, he was seen at what appeared to be a block party where people surrounded him and sang the chorus of the diss track.

Fellow Compton rapper YG was also seen pulling up near the primary shoot location, while the producer Mustard also tagged along. Following the music video’s release, Mustard can be seen outside Tam’s Burgers wearing a Toronto Blue Jays hat, which he has claimed was not a dig at Drake.

Dave Free directed the video that shows Kendrick Lamar and his fiancé and kids. In another scene, Kendrick was seen taking a swing at an owl-shaped piñata with a stick and eyeing an owl in a cage at the end of it.
