Popcaan and Drake have been close friends since August 2012: More details about their association explored

The association between Drake and Popcaan is decades old, as the duo met in 2012, when Drake’s OVO reached out to the DJ, to perform in his annual OVO Fest in Canada. The two then collaborated, and the former was seen in Drake's track Know Yourself, which was released in 2015.

A few years later, Popcaan was signed to Drake’s OVO label. The duo then collaborated in 2020 and released Twist & Turn, All I Need, which was a part of Popcaan’s album, Fixtape. Another collaboration of the duo was again seen last year, in 2023, when the DJ included Drake in his song We Caa Done, of his Great is He album.

Drake and Kendrick Lamar have been feuding for over a decade now. However, their rap war reignited in March 2024, after Lamar collaborated on Metro Boomin and Future''s track, Like That.

Drake responded with a diss track, First Person Shooter, Push Ups, and Taylor Made Freestyle. Kendrick then released Euphoria, 6:16 in LA, Family Matters, and meet the grahams again dissing Drake.
