A day after Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign released four Vultures 2 deluxe versions with one bonus track on each, Taylor Swift also dropped four live acoustic collections of The Tortured Poets Department.

Although these digital albums were up for sale on Taylor’s official store for a limited time, words spread about the sudden release, leading to criticism. Kanye fans called out the LOML crooner claiming she put the new versions on sale in a deliberate attempt to sabotage the Vultures 2 sale.

Popular X account Kurrco, which brings the latest pop culture news for fans, shared two screenshots of the new digital drops for TTPD and Vultures 2, on August 9.

Kurrco claimed Taylor's move was a supposed response to Ye and Ty Dolla releasing different versions of their collaborative album.

The tweet stirred Kanye West's fans to take a jab at Taylor for her supposed move. They criticized her for continuing to launch myriad versions of the same album despite its official release nearly 4 months back in April.

"kanye lives rent-free in her head", commented one X user.
"This is the type of greed they mentioned in the Bible", compared one.
"She’s a musical terrorist", said another.
"She’s so desperate to be number one on the charts", claimed one person.

But some had a different opinion as they claimed it was rather Kanye who released the modified editions to surpass Taylor Swift on the charts:

"I think it’s the other way around bro", wrote one.
"Y’all act like Kanye wouldn’t be that petty if he could. He already has a track record of it. Dont be mad at the get back", noted another.

Another group did not take any sides but seemingly mocked both artists, and some were nonchalant about it altogether.

"If both fanbases worked together world hunger would be solved by Monday", said an X user.
"So much music in one day!", wrote another.
"they’re having an album mid off", said one person.

Digital versions of Taylor Swift's The Tortured Poets Department are not available anymore

Taylor Swift's latest standard digital editions of The Tortured Poets Department included the live versions of some of the tracks that she performed during her Eras Tour concerts. The standard digital albums priced were at $4.99 on the official Taylor Swift store.

However, these editions did not solely feature tracks from TTPD, but the live mashups with some of her other songs from her previous albums —

  1. thanK you aIMee (TTPD, 2024) x Mean (Speak Now, 2010) (Live from London)
  2. The Albatross (TTPD, 2024) x Dancing With Our Hands Tied (Reputation, 2017) (Live from Dublin)
  3. The Bolter (TTPD, 2024) x Getaway Car (Reputation, 2017) (Live from Edinburgh)
  4. I Hate It Here (TTPD, 2024) x The Lakes (Folklore, 2020) (Live from Cardiff)

On the other hand, the four new songs featured on Ty Dolla and Kanye's Vultures 2 are Drunk, Believer, Can You Be, and Gun to My Head. These deluxe editions are being sold at $5 each on YZY's official site.

However, the acoustic collections of Taylor Swift's TTPD are not available on her website anymore as they were limited editions and went out of sale quickly.
