Music streaming platform Spotify released its list of the most-streamed rappers of 2024 as a part of its Spotify Wrapped segment. The top spot on the list was taken by Drake, followed by Travis Scott and Kanye West in the second and third places, respectively.

Meanwhile, Eminem was featured at number four on the list, followed by Kendrick Lamar in the fifth position, with Future and Metro Boomin in the sixth and seventh places respectively. The other rappers on Spotify's most-streamed rappers of 2024 included 21 Savage in eighth place with Playboi Carti and XXXTENTACION in the ninth and tenth places, respectively.

DJ Akademiks also shared a screenshot of the list on Instagram on December 4, 2024. Many fans took to the comments section to note that XXXTENTACION was still on the list as others claimed that it was something that needed to be studied. However, most fans commented stating that while Kendrick Lamar wasn't on the top three, he still "acts like he is."

Similar responses continued below the post, one person also stated that they were surprised people still listened to XXXTENTACION, who passed away in 2018. Others claimed that Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, and Future were the "real big three." Some said that they were shocked to see XXXTENTACION and Eminem making it to Spotify's top-ten rappers list for 2024.

Meanwhile, some fans brought up the feud between Drake and Kendrick as some claimed that "crying Kendrick fans" would be making comments under the post. Others claimed that since Drake had "lost the rap battle," his fans should "accept it and stop dragging it."

Drake grabs a position in another Spotify list

Apart from the rappers, the music streaming platform also released a list of the most-streamed artists worldwide. This was also a part of the platform's Spotify Wrapped segment, which is released at the end of each year.

Released on the same day, the list had Taylor Swift in the first place. The singer has been breaking records with her ongoing Eras Tour and her latest album The Tortured Poets Department, which was released in April 2024.

The Weeknd and Bad Bunny were on numbers two and three, respectively on the Spotify list, with Drake being named the fourth most-streamed artist worldwide. Billie Eilish grabbed the fifth position with Travis Scott, Peso Pluma, and Kanye West in the sixth, seventh, and eighth positions, respectively.

Meanwhile, Ariana Grande was at number nine with Feid in the tenth position.

It is worth noting that Drake has been in the headlines this year after his feud with Kendrick Lamar, as both rappers released a lineup of diss tracks. The beef began with Drake's singles, Push Ups and Taylor Made Freestyle, where he reached the top of the Billboard charts.

A report by Spin stated that Drake accumulated almost 73.3 million listeners every month on Spotify, marking the eighth time the rapper reached the top of the list. It is also worth noting that he has created a few other records, including being named the second-most streamed singer across all genres on Spotify. He was also named the most-streamed male artist for the fourth time.

Drake also announced the Anita Max Wynn Tour in November 2024 when he appeared on a live-streaming session with gaming streamer xQc. He revealed that the tour is scheduled to start on February 9, 2025, and will stop at places such as Melbourne and Sydney.

Tour tickets will go on sale from December 6, 2024, through Drake Related at 12 pm. The event will end on February 28, 2025, at Spark Arena in Auckland, New Zealand, as per NME.
