Kendrick Lamar's latest album, GNX, has become extremely popular among fans. It apparently had an easter egg, suggesting a new album before the end of this year. A fan had shared a video in which he broke down the alleged easter egg and came up with the prediction.

A user on X, @WordFromKdot, shared the video of the fan who predicted another album between December 12 and 14 this year. The fan claimed that Kendrick was referring to the Grand National car released in 1987 by Buick in his album. According to the fans, GNX is nothing but the short version of Grand National. He further added:

"Buick made so few of this model that they had to have set times & dates for the GNX to be upgraded each year. They had to post these dates in major newspapers & the process was so involved, they only did it once. From December 12 to December 14 in 1987, you could upgrade your GNX, for a fixed fee of $2,660. This is how we know Kendrick Lamar is dropping a second album this year."

The fan shed light on the runtime of Kendrick Lamar's entire album, which was about 44 minutes and 20 seconds. The fan highlighted that if converted to seconds, it would be 2,660 seconds, the fixed fee required to upgrade GNX.

The connection between GNX and the car model was also mentioned in an article by XXL, published on November 27. According to the article, this car model was similar to the one Lamar's father drove while he got the rapper home from the hospital after birth.

The post went viral across X and received over 1 million views and over 18k likes within a little over 24 hours since its upload on December 1. While this is only a fan prediction, no confirmation about a second album this month has been made yet.

Kendrick Lamar's latest album GNX has reportedly topped the Billboard 200 Chart

GNX garnered massive attention and popularity as soon as it was released on streaming platforms. It was further a surprise for all the listeners and fans. Dated December 7, the album became No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Chart.

According to Luminate, the album launched with about 319,000 equivalent units earned in the US in the week till November 28. The album also had the year's second-biggest debut streaming week, and the year's third-largest streaming week overall.

Kendrick Lamar's other albums, Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, DAMN., Untitled Unmastered, and To Pimp a Butterfly, had also topped the Billboard 200 Chart previously.

As for the easter egg and predictions through social media posts, listeners can now only wait and observe if Lamar drops a new album between December 12 and December 14, 2024.
