On Saturday Night Live’s Season 49 finale, Michael Che and Colin Jost left the internet in splits following their joke-swap segment. In the May 17 episode, Michael Che unknowingly took shots at Kendrick Lamar. This comes after the musician’s recent feud with fellow rapper Drake. Responding to the latest episode, one netizen said:
In December 2018, Colin Jost and Michael Che introduced the joke-swap segment on Saturday Night Live. In the 'Weekend Update' portion of the episode, the duo writes jokes for each other and makes the other read them out loud during the show without their prior notice. Jost explained in the recent episode that the idea is:
“To give each other fun jokes, almost supportive jokes, that would never ruin our summer or career.”
As it was Michael Che’s turn to read out the jokes written by Colin Jost, he expressed a moment of hesitation and then said:
“And speaking of bitc*es, I wanna call out the biggest bit*hes of them all, Kendrick Lamar. Or should I say littlelest? Your war with Drake may be over. But your war with Michael Che is just beginning. So, to quote Hamilton, “shoot your shot player.””
After splitting into laughter, Che took to praising Jost for the joke by saying, “that was pretty well done.”

Revisiting the Kendrick Lamar and Drake feud after Michael Che narrates hilarious jokes
The Drake and K Dot feud took over the internet in recent months, with netizens claiming that the latter won the rap battle. The two took to battling it out after Drake and J Cole collaborated on their track First Person Shooter to state that they, along with Lamar, were the “big three” in the rap scene.
It seems like Kendrick Lamar did not agree with the duo. In the Like That track created by Metro Boomin and Future, Kendrick reacted to Drizzy and J Cole by saying that there was no “big three” but “just big me.”
Following K Dot’s lyrical diss, Drizzy released his own diss tracks titled Push Ups and Taylor Made Freestyle, which resulted in K. Dot releasing his own diss tracks titled Euphoria and 6:16 in LA.
Drake yet again released a third diss track titled Family Matters. Moments later, the Humble crooner shocked the internet with his third and fourth diss tracks titled Meet the Grahams and Not Like Us.
As his final response, Drake released The Heart Part 6.
Now, K Dot’s Not Like Us track stands as the top track in the United States as per the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This is the singer’s fourth song to climb the chart after Humble, Bad Blood, and Like That.
K Dot’s Euphoria also reached the third spot on the chart after debuting in the 11th spot.
At the time of writing this article, Kendrick Lamar had not addressed the Saturday Night Live segment.
