As soon as the rapper’s post predicting a collaboration between Drake and Lamar went viral, social media users began reacting to it. They began sharing their predictions too. One netizen commented on The Shade Room's post on Instagram about the same and said:
“Absolutely not. Leave it where it's at and let's be done with it respectfully.”
Others also commented on the post with their views and said:
Furthermore, many others also commented on how the two rappers, Drake and Kendrick Lamar have previously done a song together in 2011, called Buried Alive Interlude. However, over the years, things changed, and the duo never did any song together again.
Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s rap battle explored
Kendrick and Drake have been in the news for a while now, as the two started beefing with one another almost a decade back. Since the time Drake and Lamar did their first collaboration together, they never went back to being the same as each other, despite the fact that their first and only song together, Buried Alive Interlude became a massive hit instantly.
While the duo did not comment on one another for a whole decade, the rap war reignited when Drake and J. Cole released First Person Shooter in October 2023, dissing Lamar.
As a response to the song, Lamar then released Like That in March 2024, followed by Drake’s Push Ups and Taylor Made Freestyle in April 2024.
Lamar then released his diss track Euphoria for Drake, in the same month, followed by another track targeting Drake, called 6:16 in LA. Drake then released his third diss track in two months, called Family Matters talking about Lamar's relationship with his fiancée Whitney Alford.
Drake’s diss track made Lamar release two more tracks for Champagne Papi, called Meet The Grahams and Not Like Us In May 2024. Two months after the release of Not Like Us, Kendrick also dropped the music video of the song which showed Drake’s OVO owl.
The music video, too, dissed Drake in many ways as it also featured Kendrick, Whitney, and their kids, in response to Drizzy’s Family Matters.
Furthermore, many more social media users also discussed how N.O.R.E.’s prediction about Drake and Kendrick can eventually be true, as Champagne Papi has also mended his relationship with others, whom he beefed once, like Meek Mill, Chris Brown, and Kanye West.
However, at the moment, neither Drake nor Lamar have spoken up about N.O.R.E.’s take on their feud.
