Liam Payne reportedly took cocaine with Argentinian waiter accused of being his drug dealer days before his death

Liam Payne was reportedly accused of taking drugs with an Argentinian waiter three days before his death. The former One Direction member reportedly fell from the balcony of his room at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires on October 16, 2024.

Named Braian Nahuel Paiz, the 31-year-old waiter was identified in the ongoing prosecution probe. He became the second person linked to Liam Payne's investigation probe to speak up, following Payne's friend Rogelio 'Roger' Nores' statement last week.

In an on-camera interview with journalist Guillermo Panizza (reported via Daily Mail on November 11), Paiz recalled the two meetings he had with Payne, along with details of their exchange. However, he was adamant that he never supplied the drugs or took money from the singer.

“I never supplied Liam with drugs... Liam’s first contact with me was at my place of work,” Paiz stated.

According to Paiz, he and Payne first exchanged numbers at a restaurant in Puerto Madero, where the latter dined with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, and two others.

The first planned meeting between Paiz and Liam Payne was reportedly at 'Hyatt in Palermo' on October 2. Explaining their interaction on the aforementioned date, the waiter said:

"We swapped details and saw each other later that night. It was all normal. He came down from his hotel room to fetch me because I had got lost."

He recalled Payne showing him his new music and claimed that the singer was already high on drugs and didn't eat food that night. However, he revealed that they had some whiskey shots together.

"There was a moment when he approached me and asked me for my contact details. I gave him an Instagram and afterwards he sent me messages because he wanted to take drugs although he had already consumed narcotics," Paiz explained.

His second meeting with Liam Payne took place on October 13, three days before the latter's demise. The two reportedly consumed drugs while 'something intimate happened.' Paiz stated:

"We spent the night together, we consumed drugs because the truth is that something intimate happened. He wasn't aggressive at all, he behaved really well with me, he was really sweet. He asked me if I was okay. I've got all the messages where we arranged that second meeting. I haven't erased anything."

After that day, Payne allegedly offered him money and his clothes as memorabilia but the Argentine waiter declined.

"When I left he wanted to give me some clothes so that I had a memory of being with him but I left it behind the TV because I didn't want to take it. It was some grey jogging bottoms and a T-shirt," Paiz said.

Paiz continued, recalling the moment he saw Liam Payne for the last time. The waiter's 'best friend' wanted to meet Payne after the second meeting, and the singer reportedly met the two and implored them to come to his hotel room. However, the waiter declined, as his shift was scheduled to start shortly. Thereafter, Payne boarded a cab and left.

As per Paiz, it was the last time he saw the singer before his demise.
