On October 16, former One Direction member Liam Payne tragically passed away after falling off the balcony of his hotel room in Buenos Aires. Payne was reportedly in Argentina with girlfriend Kate Cassidy to attend a concert of Niall Horan before the incident struck.

Meanwhile, Cassidy has reportedly been seen carrying boxes and leaving the singer's London residence a few days after she bid him the final goodbye. The Mirror UK reported that she left the property on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, and seemed quite emotional.

The 25-year-old American model and influencer was reportedly seen grabbing onto a cuddly toy while she was further assisted by a friend to load a van with the suitcases. The media outlet further stated that Kate Cassidy is flying to the US to be with her family during Christmas. According to The Mail, neighbors mentioned that her friends would be helping her until she left for the US.

Kate reportedly left Argentina and flew back to Miami, while Liam Payne decided to stay back to get his US Visa renewed. After the singer's death, Kate joined his grieving family and friends in Britain at the 12th Century St Mary’s Church in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, to attend his funeral on November 20.

Liam Payne's funeral took place last month and was attended by a number of his friends and his entire family. This included his girlfriend Kate and former One Direction members Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik. Celebrities like Simon Cowell and James Corden also attended the private event.

Since the funeral, Kate had been staying at Liam Payne's modern apartment building in London. The property is located close to the banks of the River Thames in southeast London.

Previously, on October 23, Kate Cassidy shared an emotional note on Instagram, dedicating it to her late boyfriend Liam Payne. She wrote in the note that she was "shattered" after Liam's death. She further called him the "love of her life" and "best friend." Kate went on to share several photos with Liam on the same post. She further wrote:

"You brought so much happiness and positivity to everyone - millions of fans, your family, friends, and especially me. You are so incredibly loved."

One of the photos showed a handwritten letter by Liam, in which he suggested that the couple would get married in the coming months.

As per an article by The New York Post published on November 13, Cassidy previously described staying with the singer as feeling like being "held hostage" due to his ongoing extensions of their vacation in Argentina. According to Kate's friend, the influencer allegedly gave him an ultimatum to choose between purported drugs and her, in which Liam reportedly chose the former.

The New York Post also reported that the friend further said it prompted Kate to leave earlier, which she thought was just a form of "tough love." The friend added:

"It was becoming very unhealthy for everyone. She hoped he would follow her back to Miami."

Liam Payne and Kate Cassidy reportedly began dating in October 2022. They debuted their first red carpet in December of the same year at the British Fashion Awards.
