Amid Sean Diddy Combs' legal battles, his close friend and fellow rapper Bow Wow has spoken out in favor of the 54-year-old singer. During his October 11 interview on the More To The Story podcast, Bow Wow asserted how he and the music industry have been impacted by Combs' arrest.

Speaking about the void in the industry that exists now, Bow Wow expressed his shock and sadness about Diddy's arrest. He also said,

"It ain't supposed to end like this. I can't, nah, I would've never thought it would — If it is the end, this would be the story of how it would end. It ain't supposed to end like this."

The Like You rapper further concentrated on the parties Diddy used to allegedly host after important occasions, like award shows. Furthermore, referring to the rapper as the "gatekeeper" of the music business, he stated,

"Nah, he's like the gatekeeper to the game. To the point to where what weekend has passed, BET award weekend, like the past two, they just didn't feel right. There was no motion, there was no parties. There was nowhere to go."

The rapper further added,

"How monumental and how important he was to the culture. Because I said, Jermaine [Dupri], there's no parties. Every year, dude [Diddy] had the [parties]. And you feel it. It's like a hole. It's like, 'damn, we ain't going.…he was everything. Hip hop, you know what I mean?"

He continued,

"For me, thinking on it, bro, supposed to be on a 250 foot yacht with his wife leg up, chilling. This how you ride it out."

Apart from talking about Diddy, Bow Wow also spoke about his conversation with the American record producer and rapper Jermaine Dupri, stating that the two of them were baffled as to how Diddy could be arrested and how he had left a "hole" in the industry.

As per All HipHop's October 12 article, Diddy and Bow Wow have collaborated frequently on songs like Let's Get Down. In addition to working together, the two are said to have forged a close relationship. Diddy was reportedly a mentor to Bow Wow and allegedly impacted the latter's career as an entertainer.
