Madonna celebrated the Fourth of July with the news of her "miraculous recovery" from bacterial infection a year after she was hospitalized. In an Instagram post uploaded on Friday (July 5), the Material Girl singer shared her health update and celebrated her recovery milestone with the caption:
"Happy 4th of July! A year ago today, I had just come home from the hospital after surviving a life-threatening illness, I could barely stand in my backyard holding one sparkler."
Reflecting on the year after her hospitalization, she said that "life is beautiful."
"I made a miraculous recovery and had an amazing year. Thank you, God. Life is beautiful!"

For the unversed, Madonna's talent manager, Guy Oseary, shared her "serious bacterial infection" news on social media in late June 2023, saying that the singer was in medical care but was expected to fully recover soon.
The confirmation came when she was suddenly hospitalized after battling a month-long fever and was found unresponsive at her home. She had to be placed in the ICU.
She released her first statement after coming home from the hospital in July 2023, thanking all her fans for their positive energy. The hitmaker also assured her fans that she was feeling better and was "on the road to recovery."

Madonna shares snippets of her 4th of July celebration amid the anniversary of her recovery
Besides sharing a short but reflective caption to mark the anniversary of her recovery from a serious bacterial infection, Madonna also shared a couple of snaps from her Fourth of July celebration.
In a series of pictures uploaded on her IG account, Madonna can be seen all glammed up and partying in a red strapless dress that she paired with red boots and a stack of diamond necklaces.
The Grammy-winning singer, who just wrapped up her The Celebration Tour, appears to be walking arm-in-arm with a mystery man in one of the photos.
In other snaps, she can be seen side by side with the same guy as they watch the fireworks from the balcony and cuddle with him on the couch. She was also joined by some friends for the celebration, as captured in the photos.
The Queen of Pop turned heads in a studded white mini dress when she made her surprise appearance at the LadyLand Festival in Brooklyn on Saturday (June 29). But instead of taking the stage, the singer was a judge for the ballroom performance during the event's Vogue Ball House Battle.
