On Tuesday, December 17, Mariah Carey performed her last show of the Christmas Time tour in New York City. The show was star-studded and was attended by celebrities like Rihanna and A$AP Rocky. The last show of Carey happened after she canceled three shows this month due to flu.
After canceling some of the previous shows, Mariah Carey confirmed through Instagram that she was fit enough to perform the last show of her tour.
A clip from the Tuesday concert has gone viral in which Mariah was interacting with Rihanna and could be seen complimenting the shades RiRi had on. In the clip, Mariah asked RiRi:
"Who has the shades? Can I buy them?"
To this, Rihanna responded that she would give them to her for free. The interaction gained massive traction on the internet, and netizens couldn't help but express their reactions. The video received more than 3 million views and over 61k likes at the time of writing.
Here are some popular responses found on X. A user (@mojdazam00012) tweeted:
"Mariah got the shades, Rihanna got the story!"
Another user playfully questioned:
"Why is this all so funny 😂🔥"
"This girl is wealthy… you just see it in the way she showers other people with pure love… Glo/ Mariah the list is endless," added a tweet.
"Then people wonder why Rihanna’s products sell more than Beyoncé’s. It’s because people like supporting real people," commented a fan praising RiRi.
Many netizens complimented both the stars and their brief interaction at the concert. A user wrote on X:
"It’s the way Mariah was so mesmerized😂💎."
"It’s nice to see music artists actually get along," noted another netizen.
In the viral clip, Mariah Carey was seen signing RiRi's chest during the same interaction where she asked about the shades.
Mariah Carey canceled shows in Pittsburgh, Newark, and Elmont due to flu
