Meek Mill has recently expressed his desire to perform his song Dreams and Nightmares at the upcoming presidential debate, involving Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. The rapper reshared an Instagram post by Philly Fame TV featuring the news of the discussion on August 29, 2024, and wrote:
"Let me do dreams and nightmares at this debate lol."
The news comes almost two weeks after Meek Mill shared a few tweets on August 15, 2024, addressing his opinion about the assassination attempt on Donald Trump. He wrote in one of them:
"He got shot at basically put his middle finger up after a bang out got hit in the head nobody ran… hope you get well too we get shot at a lot! Got indicted still running for president! Who is this guy trump fr I know some wild guys but wtf lol just my thoughts!"
Netizens reacted to the tweets at the time, with one person writing that only Trump can save the nation, followed by another stating that the media has lied about Trump for around nine years.
However, Meek Mill claimed in another post that he was not endorsing Trump. Mill replied to a tweet, which mentioned the same thing, and wrote:
"I know nothing about politics …he was owning building I was living in north Philly in poverty getting shot at seeing death going to jail for environmental sh*t … all I see on phones and tvs is trump, it's like tf is this guy."
Meanwhile, the presidential debate is scheduled for September 10, 2024, at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia. The discussion will be available to stream on ABC News Live, Disney+, and Hulu.
Meek Mill's freestyle videos grab the attention of his followers
Also known as Robert Rihmeek Williams, he posted a video through his Instagram Story on August 26, 2024, rapping to Kendrick Lamar's song Euphoria. He later shared a new clip where he rapped on another diss track by Lamar, Family Matters.
Meek Mill was spotted inside a mall while he rapped on Euphoria and the lyrics stated:
"We ain't playing no roles or doing no shootings, but we make movies happen / When I'm in the trenches, I tote that extension it came with the Uzi package / I want a rock don't give me no feds n*gga I want a Glock."
In the other video, he was seen sitting inside a car along with his kids, saying that he was going to get them new clothes and jewelry. He was heard rapping the following lines in the clip, stating that he was taking his children to Target:
"I be putting on Celine, Rick, and Marni just to take my son to Target / They want to turn me into a target, instead of turning, I'm starving / All of a sudden n*gga's stomach turning cause the money burning and we ballin."
Both singles on which Mill was spotted rapping were released at a time when Kendrick Lamar was involved in a feud with Drake. A few of the diss tracks also managed to grab the top spot on the Billboard charts. While several personalities have shared their opinion about the beef in the last few months, Mill has refused to do the same for unknown reasons.
Notably, Meek Mill once had a feud with Drake where he slammed the latter for not participating in the promotion of Meek's second album, Dreams Worth More Than Money. Mill posted a tweet about the same in 2015 and Drake responded by releasing two diss tracks, Charged Up and Back to Back.
