British singer Adele was moved to tears after spotting Celine Dion in the audience of her Las Vegas residency. The emotional encounter took place during the Skyfall hitmaker's show on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

According to videos circulating on social media, Adele was singing When We Were Young when she approached Dion seated at a side box. The two singers embraced each other when the British singer started to cry.

As the touching moment went viral, internet users were quick to react. One praised the two singers, writing:

Meet a little girl with a big heart RIGHT HERE

"MOTHER BLESSING HER DAUGHTER greatest vocalists of their generations."

Netizens gushed about the moment, with one even likening it to God meeting Jesus. Here are some comments seen on X:

"This is like if Jesus and god met," a fan wrote.
"This is actually insane. Celine is the woman who SAVED Vegas residencies and made them a cool thing for contemporary singers to do. She popularized the power ballad. This is the woman that made this exact moment happen for Adele in so many ways, I would actually sob tears too," another commented.
"Celine's hand on her face is so mother coded," one wrote.

Others commented on the two singers's humble nature.

"Not me crying at my warehouse job," an user remarked.
"Celine and Adele are the two most pure and humble singers in the industry," @Adeelelover added.
"she's the realest of all icons," another added.

In 2018, Adele previously attended Celine Dion's residency show at the Colosseum

Videos from Adele's show on Saturday show her conversing with Celine Dion after embracing the latter. At one point during their conversation, Dion took the British singer's face in her hand and even kissed her hand.

The Rolling In The Deep singer then waved at her fans nearby before she returned to the stage with teary eyes. The My Heart Will Go On singer, too, could be seen taking her seat and dabbing her eyes after the sweet encounter. Dion's sons, Nelson and Eddy Angélil, who accompanied her to the show, were seen offering their mother comfort.

Clips from the show show Adele calling Dion "one of (her) favorite people of all time." Later in the evening, the British singer explained that it was a full-circle moment for her, referring to the time she attended a Celine Dion concert at the same venue (in January 2018).

At the time, the Canadian singer took to her Instagram (post since deleted) to express her appreciation and love after meeting Adele backstage. The Hello crooner had also shared an IG post expressing her love for the former, stating:

"Queen Celine! What a show, an absolute highlight of my life, thank you so much for the attention to your crowd and insane humor. Happy New Year lady x"

To be noted, the Colosseum at Caesars Palace opened in 2003. At the time, Dion inaugurated the venue with her first residency. The Set Fire To The Rain singer's two-year residency in Las Vegas will run through November 23. During her concert in Munich last month, she announced she would take a long hiatus from music once her residency in the Sin City concludes.
