"My love for my other half was always shown"- Rich Homie Quan's girlfriend, Amber Williams speaks out on rapper's death

In light of the passing of Rich Homie Quan on September 5, 2024, the rapper’s long-time girlfriend, Amber Williams released a statement mourning the loss of her partner and the father of her kids, on September 7.

Posting about how they had been together for more than 15 years, Amber Williams stated that she was “traumatized” after Rich Homie Quan’s sudden passing away. Amber Williams wrote on her Instagram story:

“The pain is unbearable. The love you all have shown is an over flow. I truly appreciate everyone who’s reached out. I’m traumatised from a moment that’ll forever be in my head. I have nothing to prove because my love for my other half was ALWAYS shown. I had nothing to hide.”

On the other hand, she also requested privacy to grief, as she calls the entire incident a “nightmare.” Amber stated:

“Please respect me and my family at this time. Our house is no longer a home. I’m completely heartbroken. 15 years gone. I’ll never be the same. This is a complete nightmare. We never could let go, but you didn’t have to leave me like this.”

At the end of her message, she concluded with a “#Numb.” Amber Williams, 33 years old, had been in a relationship with Rich Quan Homie for over a decade. The two even shared kids together, 10-year-old Royal Lamar and 3-year-old Layor Leonis Lamar. The couple had not tied the knot yet but were actively involved in co-parenting the kids.

Rich Homie Quan fans were left shocked and saddened after the news about his sudden passing, quickly spread across the internet. While the authorities are still investigating, the first one to discover the rapper lying unconscious was his girlfriend, Amber.

In an audio clip obtained by TMZ on September 5, the conversation between the 911 operator and Amber, the rapper’s girlfriend can be heard.

She explained the whole scene and stated that she found Quan on the couch, as he had not made it to the bed the previous night, and slept on the couch only. She later expressed how she could feel no heartbeat, and claimed that Quan was not breathing.

In the phone call audio, Amber could be heard explaining how she had gone to leave their kid at school and found him on the couch when she came back. Amber, seemingly shaken in the audio also claimed that his mouth foamed and that the rapper was not moving.

It is also worth noting that an autopsy was performed on Rich Homie Quan on Friday, September 6, 2024, however, the real reason behind his passing away has not been revealed yet. Quan is survived by his girlfriend, Amber, and their two kids. At the same time, the rapper was also a dad to two more kids from his previous relationships.
