A clip of DJ Akademiks has gone viral in which he could be seen stating that Future apparently did not know that Kendrick Lamar was going to use Like That to diss Canadian rapper Drake. In the live stream, Akademiks said:

"I heard that allegedly... they say Future claimed he ain't know that Kendrick was going to diss Drake on m*therf*cking Like That. I don't know if that's true! But that's what supposedly is the thought!"

The remarks made by DJ Akademiks soon made netizens react on internet. They flooded social media platforms with their responses on the claims. Here are some popular reactions found on X, formerly known as Twitter:

A user wrote on X:

"But he doubled down and released 'WE STILL DONG TRUST YOU' 😭"
"Future and Metro literally played the song ahead of time at Rolling Loud, they could have easily left Kendrick’s diss off but instead they let it ride lmao," added a tweet.
"How about the rest of the Drake disses from the album? He’s on every song and Drake got dissed on multiple," wondered another netizen.

A lot of other netizens disagreed with DJ Akademiks' take and claimed that it was unlikely that the Mask Off artist didn't know that Kendrick was going to diss Drizzy. A user tweeted:

"This like saying snoop saying he didn’t know Pac was dissing Biggie when snoop was still cool with him."
"Sure... That would mean he didn't hear it before release, which seems pretty dumb," commented another one.
"Niccahs back pedaling 🤦🏾‍♂️ that's crazy," explained a netizen.

Kendrick Lamar, Future, and Metro Boomin's Like That topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart after its release

Like That was released on March 26, 2024, as a part of the collaborative album titled We Don’t Trust You. This track was reportedly released as a response to J. Cole and Drizzy's 2023 track First Person Shooter. In this song, Cole rapped:

"Love when they argue the hardest emcee / Is it K. Dot? Is it Aubrey? Or me? / We the big three like we started a league."

Future responded to this in Like That, by rapping:

"F*ck sneak dissin', first person shooter/... M*therf*ck the big three, n*gga, it's just big me..."

Elsewhere in the track, Lamar compared himself to Prince and his connection with Michael Jackson. In the lines, Lamar rapped:

"Your best work is a light pack / N—a, Prince outlived Mike Jack / N—a, bum, ‘fore all your dogs get buried / That’s a K with all these nines, he gon’ see Pet Sematary.”

The song became extremely popular with it being streamed about 60 million times and garnering about 5.6 million radio airplay audience impressions in the first week, as per reports by Luminate. Not just Future's Like That, about four other tracks from We Don’t Trust You album made it to the Hot 100 chart.

This song by Future, Metro Boomin, and Kendrick Lamar had become quite a popular song in the much popular K.Dot and Drake feud.
