NBA Youngboy raises fan anticipation for upcoming 'I Just Got A Lot On My Shoulders' album

Prior to NBA Youngboy's arrest in April, the rapper intended to release his highly anticipated seventh studio album, I Just Got A Lot On My Shoulders.

Since the original release date of April 19, fans believed the project had been postponed indefinitely, until today, when five songs were uploaded to his YouTube channel.

The album was announced over a year ago when he uploaded a Facetime video between himself and Birdman.

In the clip, Youngboy previewed snippets from songs expected to be included on I Just Got A Lot On My Shoulders, while Cash Money CEO Birdman excitedly remarked:

"The f**k, man? You gotta save Hip Hop, bruh. Nephew.. gotta save this s**t bruh. Real talk. I see it’s watered down. I’m finna come, though."

While multiple leaked singles have surfaced online, following the rapper's arrest, these new tracks mark his first official release since We shot him in his head huh was uploaded to streaming on February 29, 2024.

Several fans have taken to X to share their thoughts and opinions on NBA Youngboy's new songs, with many highlighting that these releases could mark the beginning of his rollout for I Just Got A Lot On My Shoulders.
