Shantel Jackson has recently addressed her relationship with Nelly which lasted for seven years until December 2021. Jackson appeared in an Instagram Live session where she shared the reason behind her breakup with the singer by saying:
"I left because I wanted initially, I guess, space to see… maybe… will the space bring us back together, or do I need this space because I just need to rip off that band-aid."

Nelly and Ashanti's romance began in 2003. Despite news of their engagement and first baby this year, documents obtained by People magazine confirmed they secretly married on December 27, 2023.
