American rapper and singer Latto recently slammed fellow rapper Nicki Minaj in some posts after her account reportedly got hacked. On September 8, Latto’s X account suddenly became active as she allegedly posted some tweets slamming Minaj.

She further wrote a lot of other disjoined tweets as well. Nevertheless, following this, she claimed in another X post that her account had been hacked and she was not responsible for those tweets.

However, once these posts went viral, netizens took to the platform to react to them. Some called out Latto for lying about her account getting hacked, whereas others agreed with her and called out Minaj.

“No Nicki No Clout,” wrote one X user.

Other X users also criticized Latto and claimed that they didn’t believe that her account was hacked.

“We know you got your acc back boo,” claimed one user.
“This is so funny that every time y’all get "hacked" only one female rapper is mentioned by the "hacker",” stated one.
“Omg why y’all tell a hacker to say this,” questioned another one.

On the other hand, other netizens supported Latto and slammed Minaj.

“Hopefully yall in these comments know Latto is hacked and yall don’t just be dumb asf and believe this,” wrote one user, claiming that the rapper's account has been hacked and urging the X users not to believe these tweets.
“We fat shaming granny now?” said another one
“True,” another one agreed.

Latto’s beef with Nicki Minaj started two years ago

The beef between the female rappers stemmed from Nicki Minaj's displeasure over her Grammy genre switch in 2022.

Nicki expressed her annoyance on Thursday, October 13, 2022, on Instagram Live after her song Super Freaky Girl was moved out of the rap categories for the 2022 Grammy Awards and was included in the pop category.

In the video, she discussed Latto's Big Energy being able to compete in the rap category and Drake's victory after his Hotline Bling became the greatest rap song at the 2017 Grammy Awards.

Stating the same, Nicki Minaj said,

"Now, let's say that 'Super Freaky Girl' is a pop song. Let's just say that. What is [Latto's] 'Big Energy'?... If you move 'Super Freaky Girl' out of rap and put it in pop, do the same thing for 'Big Energy.'"

After this, initially, Latto chose not to reply to Minaj in public, and it was later revealed by Minaj that Latto had attempted to have a private chat with her. The Big Mama singer later responded to Nicki Minaj's remarks via X, expressing her displeasure at not being allowed to enjoy her win.

Following this, Minaj uploaded a post on X in which she criticized Latto for not taking a stance in support of the "black woman she called her biggest inspiration." Then, Latto and Nicki started going back and forth, trading insults, criticism, and subtle jabs, involving each other as well as their family members.

Nicki then shared a screenshot of a text message she received from Latto. The Big Energy singer then retorted by making public an audio clip of her phone conversation with the Super Bass rapper. Latto further accused Kenneth Petty, Minaj's husband, of being a s*x offender.

Nicki Minaj replied by asking Latto why, in the past, she had not used the same terminology for rapper Kodak Black, who was Latto’s associate and the subject of some s*xual assault case.

The rappers then took a pause from slamming each other on social media platforms. However, Latto then reportedly slammed Nicki Minaj in her Put It On Da Floor song during her 2023 Coachella performance, when she rapped,

"Say she got a problem, imaginary smoke/B*tch, you said it's up, then put on the floor. Let a b*tch know, we tired of the subtweets this year."

Ultimately, Minaj removed every single tweet she about Latto, leaving just a video of Whitney Houston laughing hysterically in a music video.

Now, a series of tweets by Latto came almost two years after the feud started. In the tweets uploaded on September 8, Latto's allegedly hacked account criticized Nicki Minaj by calling her “fat”, “ugly” and a “b*tch”. She further wrote a series of disjointed posts without any context. Even though she later explained that her X account has been hacked, netizens didn’t think so.

On the other hand, Nicki Minaj hasn’t said anything about Latto’s tweets as of yet.
