Travis Scott’s Utopia: Circus Maximus Tour in Milan, Italy, on July 23, 2024, caused a public safety risk for the masses, over 80,000 attendees created vibrations mistaken for an earthquake by residents.

As a huge crowd gathered for Travis Scott's concert, many netizens living around the La Maura Hippodrome wrote on social media about feeling tremors. As Travis Scott himself released aerial footage of the people present to see him, many started comparing the concert to Astroworld, which took place in 2021.

During the concert held by Travis Scott in 2021 in Texas, tickets were sold to as many as 1,00,000 people, however, authorities capped the limit of attendees at 50,000. However, due to the high number of people present, a crowd surge took place, killing 10 people and leaving several injured and hospitalized.

Many wrote on the footage of the concert shared by @Pubity on Instagram and reminded Travis Scott of what happened in 2021. One social media user wrote:

“I always think about it” Travis Scott’s statement about Astroworld 2021 tragedy revisited as Milan concert videos leave netizens concerned

Several people in Milan reported feeling tremors from Travis Scott’s concert, echoing a similar incident in Texas in 2021 that resulted in 10 deaths. The Texas event faced issues like overcrowding, poor layout, and inadequate facilities, leading to chaos and leaving Travis Scott "overly devastated."

After the tragedy, he spoke to GQ Magazine, stating that he “always” thinks about it. He said:

"I always think about it. Those fans were like my family. You know, I love my fans to the utmost. It has its moments where it gets rough and... yeah. You just feel for those people. And their families.”

Scott faced heavy criticism during the Astroworld tragedy for continuing his performance despite deaths occurring. Houston police had warned the organizers of potential dangers. Regarding the recent Milan concert, many reported feeling vibrations, but Billboard noted that the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology confirmed no earthquake was recorded that night.

Scott is currently on the European run of The Circus Maximus Tour, as he will now be touring other European countries including Germany and Spain towards the end of the month.
