JoJo Siwa has reportedly submitted her track Karma for consideration in the Record of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Music Video categories of the 2025 Grammy Awards. She also submitted her name for the Best New Artist category.

Siwa released her track Karma on April 5, 2024, as the main single from her debut EP, Guilty Pleasure. The song was not received well by fans, as the music video recorded the most dislikes on YouTube for a female artist's music video, surpassing artists such as Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, and Katy Perry.

JoJo Siwa submitting Karma for consideration in multiple categories of the 2025 Grammys, despite the reception, has left internet users in splits. One user wrote:

"STOP NO WAY THIS IS SERIOUS."
"Karma not even record of the weekend," another fan jibed.
"Me trying to apply to Harvard with 2.0," a netizen joked.
"I think she meant to submit for worst new artist," a user added.

Fans continued to mock Siwa for her submissions, with many poking fun at her confidence.

"She wishes lmao," a person commented.
"So unserious," another fan quipped.
"I mean a girl can dream," an individual suggested.

Some of the other reactions were as follows:

"She set herself up bye," a user commented.
"You’re actually joking," a fan chimed in.

Apart from JoJo Siwa, artists like Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, and Megan Moroney are also eligible to be nominated for the Best New Artist category in the 2025 Grammys.

In July 2024, JoJo Siwa's Karma became the most disliked music video on YouTube by a female artist. However, the 21-year-old popstar did not seem to mind it, as she celebrated the milestone with her followers via TikTok.

Siwa shared a TikTok video, where she read out a list of the least-loved visuals from a female star this year. Her numbers were generated from an online dislike viewer website. The list featured prominent artists, including Ariana Grande, who generated 290,000 dislikes for her track Yes, And?, and Katy Perry, with 330,000 dislikes on Woman's World, bagging the third position.

JoJo Siwa also mentioned Taylor Swift, whose Fortnight track generated 350,000 dislikes since May. Finally, the popstar mentioned her own name as the one topping the list, with 3.1 million dislikes for Karma. She said:

“Your No. 1 first place overall goes to… Karma, JoJo Siwa, with an astonishing, record-breaking 3.1 million dislikes! I am the only person that can say I beat Taylor Swift on a list of something. I’ll take it."

In the caption of her TikTok clip, Siwa wrote:

“WHAT A DAY TO CELEBRATE. KARMA BROKE A RECORD. 900% MORE THAN 2ND PLACE. A WIN IS A WIN."

Karma has received polarizing views on the internet since it dropped in April, with mostly negative reception. The track and its visuals gave rise to multiple memes online, with many mocking it for its supposed loud approach.

In an interview with TMZ back in April, JoJo Siwa explained that Karma marks the beginning of a new musical era for her, saying:

“I think I just want to make it more clear that gay pop is a genre. I am not the inventor of gay pop, for sure not. But I do want to be a piece of making it bigger than it already is. I want to bring more attention to it.”

As of writing, Siwa's Karma has garnered 49 million views on YouTube.
