“Not because of the beef” — Internet reacts as TDE rapper ScHoolboy Q alleges artists from his label are banned from performing in Toronto

ScHoolboy Q recently took to X to rant about how he was not allowed to perform in Toronto, even though his show was already scheduled for July 18, 2024, for a long time. Announcing the same on July 17, 2024, the Blessed rapper claimed that Canadian Police canceled his performance, and also noted how PARTYNEXTDOOR was allowed to perform at the Palladium in Los Angeles.

ScHoolboy Q said:

“THey just cancelled my sHow in TORONTO… CANADIAN POLICE DONT WANT NOBODY FROM TDE PERFORMING..”

In a follow-up post on X, the rapper mentioned:

“TOP was just wit Wayne & Baby smH partynextdoor just Had a sHow @ tHe palladium. If we wanted to get yall we would’ve just did it.. now wHen sumbody get Hurt don’t cry…”

As the posts made by ScHoolboy Q went viral, many thought the rapper was hinting toward Drake and his OVO army to get his show canceled. As many commented on how the cancellation could be because of Lamar and Drake’s beef, and the fact that the rapper has often cleared that he is on Kendrick’s side, one netizen also commented and said:

“Not because of the beef but your music ain’t inspiring and wack.”

Others also commented on his post and said:

ScHoolboy Q’s show scheduled in Canada for July 18 was almost sold out

As ScHoolboy Q tweeted about how his show was canceled by the police in Canada, many commented that it might not have been the Canadian police, but the rapper himself. An X user, @AkademiksTV stated how the Toronto PD has clarified that they did not “stop any artist in TDE from performing in Canada.”

However, as per Ticket Master’s website, ScHoolboy Q’s show in Toronto, scheduled for July 18, 2024, was “selling fast,” as the website mentioned that “less than 4% of tickets” were remaining.

The rapper will now be performing at Silver Spring, Maryland on July 25, 2024, and in Atlanta on July 26, 2024. For the remaining month of July, the rapper’s show is also scheduled for Brooklyn, New York, Boston, and Phoenix. In the month of August, the rapper will be performing at various locations including Dallas, Houston, Denver, San Diego, San Franciso, Seattle, West Hollywood, and Los Angeles.
