Xaviaer DuRousseau has released a follow-up statement after he criticized Beyoncé for supporting Kamala Harris. In an exclusive statement to The Shade Room, he spoke about being a “Beyoncé fan,” as he stated:
“The receipts may have gagged me, but they do not discredit what I said on FOX News. I am STILL a Beyoncé fan. It’s not my fault that she doesn’t promote her music, and that’s why her album FLED the charts like Harriet Tubman in the middle of the night. Maybe that wouldn’t have happened if she focused on her album rather than politics.”
Xaviaer DuRousseau named Rihanna, as he said:
“Beyoncé fans need to be honest about her lack of marketing. She needs to also take some business notes from Ms. Fenty on how to promote her businesses! I wish Beyoncé the best, and that starts with electing Donald Trump as president.”
The whole fiasco happened after Beyoncé appeared on the stage at a campaign rally in Houston, Texas, on October 25 and offered her support for Kamala Harris for the upcoming US Presidential elections.
After this, the political commentator appeared on Fox News and stated that Beyoncé should not be endorsing anyone, and instead, she should pay more attention to her music.
"The BeyHive are domestic terrorists” — Xaviaer DuRousseau’s statement against Beyoncé explored as the political commentator issues a follow-up statement
Xaviaer made his way into the headlines after he appeared on Fox News @ Night and spoke about Beyoncé's appearance at Harris’ rally, which took place in Houston on Friday, October 25, 2024. As the political commentator appeared on Fox News, he said:
“She’s out here bringing every celebrity she can to get any kind of endorsement because she knows she doesn’t have any substance herself. She needs to be focusing on trying to keep her album on the charts because it’s already gone.”
Furthermore, DuRousseau did not stop just there, as he later shared a video of his interview on X, and called Beyhives, the fandom of the singer "domestic terrorists."
"The bravest thing I’ve ever done in my career is drag Beyoncé on live TV. The BeyHive are domestic terrorists."
It is also worth noting that DuRousseau has previously been appreciative of Beyoncé and her husband, as back in June 2023, he once tweeted:
"Conservatives drag me every time I say this, but I'm obsessed with the Carters and will defend them as if I'm on their payroll. Jay-Z and Beyoncé are a royal family."
For the unversed, Xaviaer DuRousseau describes himself as a “political media personality and Gen Z cultural and political commentator” on his website. While the Fox News interview got him a lot of attention and criticism, however, this has not been his first media appearance as he has previously appeared on a number of media outlets, including Fox Business, Timcast Media and even Piers Morgan.
While social media users continue to pour in their thoughts on the matter, at the moment, neither Beyoncé, nor Kamala Harris have commented on the fiasco.
