Drake recently posted a mirror selfie on his Instagram story, showing him in a new hairstyle, which is two pigtails. While Drake is known for experimenting with his looks, his recent picture flaunting his two pigtails left netizens surprised. Subsequently, fans quickly took to multiple social media platforms to share and react to the picture.
An Instagram page, @theshaderoom, posted the picture of the rapper on the platform, while several netizens reacted to it:
"Not right now Pippi Longstocking," one user wrote.
Furthermore, many others mocked Drake’s look, while one user defended him by comparing his hairstyle to Snoop Dogg's, as they commented:
Drake is all set to release his collaborative album with PartyNextDoor
As Drake posted a picture with pigtails recently, many fans also speculated that the look could be to promote his upcoming collaborative album with PartyNextDoor. This is because Drizzy had shared a picture of him with his head full of multicolored pastel barrettes back in 2023, which was also done to promote his album, For All The Dogs.
For the unversed, Drake and PartyNextDoor are all set to release a collaborative album, which has been teased multiple times by the duo since August 2024. The album, which will be released through Drizzy’s OVO, will be the follow-up to the duo's For All The Dogs and PartyNextDoor 4.
The album was first revealed in August 2024, when Drake made a surprise guest appearance at PartyNextDoor’s tour in Toronto, and he stated:
"On behalf of me and Party, we've been working on something for y'all. So, you get the summer over with, you do what you need to do. I know all you girls are outside. When it gets a little chilly, PartyNextDoor and Drake album will be waiting right there for you."
Talking about the singer experimenting with his looks, it is also worth noting that this is not the first time that Drizzy posted a picture with his new pigtails, as back in October, he added a mirror selfie to his Instagram stories, where he can be seen wearing a double denim jacket, baggy jeans, and his new hairstyle locked into blue barrettes at the end.
While social media users continue to pour in their comments, the One Dance singer has yet to acknowledge or comment on the reactions to his latest picture.
