In a conversation with W Magazine on September 5, 2024, Sabrina Carpenter revealed that she had a childhood girl crush on Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, and Ariana Grande.

"Who did I have a crush on? It's funny all the posters on my wall were women. All my girl crushes were Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande," she said.

The clip, which circulated on social media, garnered positive responses. One person commented that she didn't mention Nicki Minaj as her childhood crush, given her recent interaction with the rapper.

Many praised Sabrina Carpenter for her answer, calling her life a fangirl's dream.

"The way she started her career by doing the miley contest and then went on to open for both ariana & taylor…….. her life has been a fangirl’s dream fr," one person tweeted.
"And the fact that all three of them just adore and love sabrina…full circle moment," another person added.
"Such a great lineup of crushes! Sabrina Carpenter’s taste in idols is spot on—Miley, Taylor, and Ariana are icons in their own right," a user said.
"Yaaas, Sabrina, you're speaking straight to our souls! Miley, Taylor, and Ariana forever - the ultimate girl crush squad," someone commented.

Others dubbed her crush choices "iconic," calling the women "queens."

"Love that! Such iconic choices for childhood crushes!" one person exclaimed.
"Oh notice how all of them are queens," another user wrote.
"I'd have a cuddle puddle with those 4 any day," someone else commented.

Sabrina Carpenter and Travis Scott competed for the No.1 spot on the Billboard 200

Sabrina Carpenter is currently basking in the success of her sixth studio album, Short n' Sweet. Her new album and Travis Scott's re-release of his decade-old mixtape Days Before Rodeo were locked in stiff competition for the No. 1 spot on this week's Billboard 200. In the end, Carpenter's album, released on August 23, beat Scott's album, released on August 18, to debut at No. 1 on the charts.

The contest saw the two artists release multiple variants of their albums to gain the upper hand. Carpenter emerged victorious in the battle reminiscent of Nicki Minaj and Scott competing for the No. 1 spot in 2018 when the latter's album topped the charts.

Sabrina Carpenter also paid homage to Minaj with her victory, tweeting, "This one's for Nicki!" after news broke about her win. In return, the rapper gifted the singer with a bouquet of white roses.

In addition to leading the Billboard 200 charts, three songs from the album are currently in the top 5 of the Hot 100. Taste, which has an MV starring Carpenter and Jenna Ortega, holds the No. 2 spot. Please Please Please, whose music video also stars the singer's boyfriend, Barry Keoghan, takes spot No. 3.

Sabrina Carpenter's summer hit Espresso holds No. 4, allowing the singer to join the select list of female artists to have three songs on the Top 5, a list that previously housed her childhood crushes Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift.

In other news, Sabrina Carpenter will embark on her 'Short n' Sweet Tour' on September 23 in Columbus, US. The singer will wrap up the North American leg on November 18 before traveling to perform in the UK and Europe from March 3 to March 26, 2025.
