Drake’s relationship with J Cole explored as Instagram post garners traction online
Drizzy and J Cole seemed to be on good terms as the duo collaborated on the former’s First Person Shooter track, which took shots at Kendrick Lamar. They have also collaborated on other songs, like In the Morning and Jodeci Freestyle.
Drizzy also let J Cole use his Born Sinner instrumental track in the latter’s Mo Money song. Champagne Papi also showed support to Cole’s career by buying all of his Born Sinner albums from a Best Buy in June 2013.
However, it seems like their relationship has turned sour in recent months. This comes after J Cole dropped his 7 Minute Drill track that dissed Kendrick Lamar in April.
Later on, J Cole seemingly apologized to Lamar by revealing at the Dreamville Festival that he did not have ill feelings towards the singer and wished to retract the song. J Cole proceeded to remove the song from music streaming platforms.
This likely caused a rift between J Cole and Drizzy, who now stands as Kendrick Lamar’s rap nemesis.
Nonetheless, it remains unclear whether Drizzy purposely fired shots at J Cole by letting the tweet remain on the Instagram profile.
