Megan Thee Stallion has been trending in the headlines ever since she confessed in her documentary In Her Words that she lied to Gayle King about her relationship with Tory Lanez during an interview on CBS Mornings in 2022. The documentary is currently available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
While a clip of Megan Thee Stallion's statement from the documentary went viral on different platforms, Lanez's legal team has now responded. Ceasar McDowell, the CEO of a nonprofit law firm called Unite the People, shared a statement with TMZ on October 31, 2024, which reads:
"The fact that Megan lied about her s*xual relationship with Tory obviously makes her an unreliable witness. If someone lies in front of millions of people, how can you trust what they say any other time."
According to Page Six, Tory Lanez reportedly fired shots at Megan during a dispute in July 2020 and was found guilty in October the same year. Although he was sentenced to 10 years in August last year, McDowell told TMZ that Lanez is going to appeal his sentence, which includes other false claims made by Megan.
