Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles, seemingly reacted to Jay-Z being accused in a new civil lawsuit. When ABC 7 Chicago News reported on Instagram that the rapper was being sued for the r*pe of a 13-year-old, the 70-year-old reportedly "liked" the post. The photo was captioned:
“Breaking news: Jay-Z, Diddy named in lawsuit alleging r*pe of girl, 13.”
After this, Page Six claimed on their December 9 report that they were able to confirm that Knowles' official Instagram account "liked" the photo. This happened after Jay-Z was accused on Sunday, December 8, of r*ping a minor at an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty in 2000 along with Diddy.
However, Jay-Z has refuted any claims of the incident. Meanwhile, once the news of Knowles reportedly liking the post went viral, netizens flocked to X to react to the same. They took to @YSLONIKA’s comment section to claim that Queen Bee is definitely divorcing him after this.
“Oh she’s divorcing him,” wrote one user.
Others also reacted in a similar fashion. One speculated that they would announce the divorce soon, while another alleged that Bey knew everything.
“That divorce and sympathy press run is upon us,” another one wrote.
“No wonder Bey suddenly became active… They all know!…,” said another one.
“She’s gonna say she liked it by accident..,” suggested another user.
Meanwhile, many tried to justify her actions. While one claimed that she always liked the news about the family, another one said that her “like” is not there anymore.
“I reckon he and Beyonce have broken up, she hasn't posted him in a while and she didn't post him on his birthday either,” another one said.
“She always likes news concerning her family. I’ve seen it before. It doesn’t matter if it’s negative or positive. That’s probably how she bookmarks it,” one user defended.
“Her “like” is NOT there I just checked now,” another one tried to clarify.
Jay-Z and Diddy have been accused of s*xually assaulting a minor in a new civil lawsuit
According to court documents obtained by Page Six, lawyer Tony Buzbee re-filed a civil complaint on Sunday against the music mogul. Combs was the only defendant named in the initial complaint, which had been submitted in October by an unnamed minor complainant.
In the filing, the unidentified victim had previously referred to Jay-Z as "Celebrity A." She further tagged a "female celebrity," who was allegedly watching, as "Celebrity B." The accuser then stated in the same Page Six article that she "began to feel woozy and lightheaded" after consuming a cocktail at the after-party.
The drink reportedly tasted like “orange juice, cranberry juice, and something bitter," which made "her need to lie down." She also said that she lay down in "what appeared to be an empty bedroom" before Combs, Jay-Z, and the unnamed female celebrity allegedly entered the room.
When Combs saw her, he allegedly went to her and grabbed her. She further alleged that while Combs and the unnamed female celebrity watched, Jay-Z stripped her n*ked, restrained her, and s*xually assaulted her. Then, as the woman and Jay-Z watched, Diddy allegedly r*ped her as well.
On the other hand, Jay-Z has refuted the allegations in a statement shared with Page Six. As per the outlet, on December 6, the singer wrote:
“My lawyer received a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter, from a ‘lawyer’ named Tony Buzbee. What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle. No sir, it had the opposite effect…”
He continued:
“These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whoever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree? These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case.”
Tina Knowles has not publicly reacted to the latest developments.
